« Arthur never really died »
First of all, I'd like to thank Angelica and Amira for helping me to find certain clips in Merlin. I'm really grateful, thank you!
Also, I must confess this video was planning to end at the middle, in fact it was meant to be another sad video about Arthur's death but the next day I woke up, some ideas were fuzzing in my mind and here is the result.
I started it on Sunday, and as a vidder, speaking about techniques, I'm proud of it. I managed to do everything that I wanted to do. And as a Merthur shipper, this is the grand finale. I wasn't unsatisfied with the actual ending of Merlin but with this one, to be honest this is not unpleasant to see that Merlin doesn't have to say goodbye to Arthur, and so neither will Bradley to Colin. They made their goodbyes while shooting the finale, nevertheless with their relationship as special as they have, regardless of how you perceive it, this is only temporary goodbyes.
This video is my baby. For all the ones I made (series and life events mixed), this is the one I'm the most proud of, surely because I put all my guts into it, made it with all my heart and poured all my love in it. This has been four intense days of working and shedding tears, that'll be memorable. I truly hope you will like it, at least ♥
Also of notes, maybe some of you will recognize the Lifestream from Final Fantasy VII. For those who won't, the Lifestream is an ethereal energy housed below the Planet's surface, it is composed of the souls of those who have lived and died in the past, as well as their memories, emotions and knowledge. When a person dies, his/her spirit energy returns to the planet and allows a cycle of life to go on, as births are still occurring. In the Advent Children, the lifestream itself thanks to Aerith springs up and managed to heal the sick children. In this video, I like the idea that the livestream has been summoned to bring back life in Arthur's dying body as it wasn't his proper destiny to end up killed. None of them knew, since we can see at the beginning Merlin's fear of losing Arthur paralyzing and both see a kaleidoscope of their memories before being able to enjoy life afterwards, together.
