No, Jan Rozeń is not a public figure - he supposedly was his colleague. Jan Rozeń even was asked in an interview about the whole situation, but I'm not sure if everything he said was genuine so I won't quote him. Grzegorz Szelwach's (the real name of the gut from video) has PhD, is a potet and even published a book, so he is quite inteligent. Unfortunately he has some financial problems and probably mental too, he was even seen as he was dumpster diving. Sad story, but on a page that track his entire story (easily found by his name) there was said that he's planning to publish his poetry, so maybe not everything is lost.

all translations were pretty accurate and shouldn't require extra context to understand the meme. If you thought something didn't make sense, then that was the point. Maybe in polish the "nonsense" memes might be even funnier because of the words used and expressions (they sound a little "uncivilised", I'm not sure if that's the best term but I don't really know how to esplain it better). But having some context may make the jokes funnier. For example Korwin is laughed at and memed so much in the internet, his appearance makes you laugh even before you read the meme.

Doors in Polish schools are something else, I remember how I was in a classroom with my classmates and a random kid was running down the hallway tripped on his backpack fell and hit the door of our classroom with his back. They were gone for about 3 weks. On the other hand, during PE, someone hit the glass door directly that led to the sports hall where we were playing volleyball with 150% force, and it did nothing. The glass was really thin, but not a scratch was left by the ball. Just duality of Polish door, I guess. Edit: everything happened in a primary school 6th and 8th grade.
