Imagine if instead of taking all the boost, the plugin makes it so that using one boost without the plugin is equivalent to using 5 boost. So if the pros looked at it, it would just drain faster not immediately going to zero making it less obvious.

To make it less obvious next time, have the plugin consume 2-4 boost for every 1 boost normally used. They would use up their boost much quicker and they wouldn't see it drain while not using it.
