Mervyn's Commercial circa Feb-May 1992. "Open, open, open".
Aired to the Detroit, MI market. All of my videos are from original recordings, not copied from another account as others have done with my video postings. I cleaned up the audio to reduce hiss, but not much else.

I loved this store when I lived in CA. I moved to FL and was so excited when they opened some stores there. Sadly, they're all gone now.

I worked for Mervyn's for 34 years! Best company ever! And Mervin Morris, the original owner, what a gem of a human being!

I worked for Mervyn's for 4 years. I loved it so much. It was also my go to store when I needed an outfit. Such a great store. I miss it so much.

I worked for the Corporate Communication's department for several years at their headquarters in Hayward CA. Good place to work and good people to work with.

I would suggest that you cannot say it is "closed for eternity". There's no way for anyone to even know that.

I miss Mervyns too. My mom, aunt and I all worked there. My husband proposed to me In Mervyns! Very family oriented store to both its employees and customers!

I didn't know Mervyn's when it was opened, as happy as those people look, Mervyn's obviously cared for their customers and business. Wish I knew it!

Isn't this actress Candi Milo? She does a lot of cartoon voices: Madame Foster, Coco, and Cheese on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends; Sweetie Pie on Tiny Toons Adventures; Dexter in the newer episodes of Dexter's Laboratory...

I miss America before the corporations decide to consolidate choice out of the equation. Now it's big box store number 1 or big box store number 2 with all the same junk. Made in China. Made not to last so you get to buy some more big box junk.

I remember this commercial! Thanks for uploading it cause I needed the open open open open part XD Also, why has 0:28 not been looped? No, seriously. We have Fry saying Fix it on a loop, countless Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt loops and lord knows what else on a loop. This needs a loop. If I knew how, I'd do it myself >:(

I miss Mervyns. I wonder which store is going to be closed next. I know before them emporium Capwell closed, and so did Montgomery wards. Now there is only three department stores left standing. Well, four. Ross, JCPenney, and my ultimate favorite although there expensive Macy's.

I know that lady. That's Candi Milo the voice of Dexter, Snap, Coco, Cheese, Madame Foster, The Flea, Ophelia Ramirez, Nora Wakeman, Nick Dean, Granny, Maya Santos, and etc.
