Look at all the women Maks had dated in the past, they were not women with boyish figures & no bust, let’s be honest. VSA Tromp I think that it was the same with Meryl as well, just acting, being in character. She does the same with her ice dancing partner, yet they have a purely platonic relationship too. People read too much into these partnerships, it’s very rare that a ‘real’ relationship develops beyond their time on the show together, the only one that was truly serious was Kym Johnson & Robert Herkjovic who are now married with twins, you could see the chemistry between them during the show, it wasn’t madeup or pretend just for votes like so many other couples!

Jamie-Lynn Murray Maks wasn’t physically attracted to Meryl, she simply wasn’t his type at all with her boyish shape. All the women he’d dated in the past were more model like, his wife Peta has a stunning figure. Maks & Meryl had a faux romance for the show to garner votes, people fell for it, while in reality he was dating Peta. Women watching had convinced themselves it was all real, but it simply wasn’t true!

@@aprilsilvers381, Meryl is a professional skater. She has the advantage of being coached in all types of dancing and gymnastics. She even had the advantage of not having heavy ice skatings on. No doubt she works out, eats well... she has too. No surprise she's good. And no surprise they won. But no doubt all bets were on for Meryl and Max to win because she IS A PROFESSIONAL TOO. I think the show gave Max the best to work with so he could have a win before leaving the show.

@@lisagermick4560 @Lisa Germick she wasn't just a professional skater, she was an Olympic gold medalist in ice dance. Ice dance is basically ballroom on blades. I believe one or both of her and Charlie's Olympic programs was choreographed by Derek Hough. No doubt Meryl and Maks had amazing routines. But seeing as how she was fairly well trained not just in dance but specifically ballroom, there's no reason they shouldn't have mopped the floor with their competition lol. I'd have protested that the fix was in if I'd been cast that season LMAO

What set Meryl apart from any other dancer on this show was that none of her dances looked "rehearsed," they looked like they just came naturally to her, like she and Maks were coming up with moves on the spot. In almost all of the other contestants, even the really good ones, you can see them thinking through their choreography. I never saw that with Meryl, and she and Maks will forever be the best DWTS pairing.

The Tango just mesmerized me. The execution is absolutely great, their movements and their control are just amazing. Even if it's not the usual Tango music they have used, it just fits so well for their dance. It helps mirroring their emotions during the dance so perfectly. Meryl and Maks look STUNNING together. The looks they gave each other, their faces...for all reasons they were the best couple. You really felt their energy, passion and emotions between them. Especially during this dance. I mean, just look at how Meryl looks at Maks in the beginning. The Tango was absolutely beautiful and touching in EVERYTHING. I love watching it, and I would wish dancing like that when I'm a bit older with exactly the same passion and emotions, but by now I'm still learning. Dancing like that is a dream. JUST BEAUTIFUL. You aren't able to find other words. (Sry for my English, I'm from Germany and still learning.)

WOW, Just when I thought that I've seen it all, I happened to find this gem, without a shadow of a doubt this video is astronomically fantastic this has got to be the only one that was perfect with DWTS History. When I was little, my dad worked for stars on ice. Meryl and Charlie were always rehearsing and I got to go in and they would teach me how to skate and do tricks with me! I was amazed when I would watch them skate. I still have their autographs and it was such a fun experience being with them! Meryl and maks are one of my favs on dwts!
