I was expecting something in the style of Miranda Priestly, but was pleasantly surprised by the opposite. Her home in Pasadena is beautiful! Relaxing, rejuvenating, not cluttered and OMG it must be so easy to keep it clean! It reminded me Marie Kondo way of life. 👍🏻

I see Beauty ... both in the gorgeous natural setting and also the architectural design and furnishings ... but ... the home strikes me as a 'blank palette'; creating a setting where creative thoughts and dreams can take place ... as well as peaceful rest ... and especially a neutral canvas to highlight the PEOPLE that inhabit the house, both as family and visiting guests ... and isn't that what Meryl Streep really IS herself: a 'blank canvas' that she utilizes to depict the richness and variety of human beings in a vast array of human experiences. Meryl Streep: GOAT ('Greatest of All Time).

I absolutely love Meryl Streep and I absolutely hate this house. The tile walls make it feel like an institution in my opinion. But, you know what? It doesn’t matter what I think or how it makes me feel because it’s not my house…I do love the pool though.

It looks like the mid century modern house where I lived as a child. I don't like mid century modern . The house is cold and sterile and the lack of color doesn't help. People who are afraid they have bad taste decorate their houses in white ,beige or other neutrals.

House looks cold and sad. Absence of warm wood furniture, beautiful paintings on the walls, and other characteristics make this house look like a public office, a public building. Landscape is ugly too. I believe this house reflects more Don's modern mind (he makes metal statues) than sensitive and warm Merrill personality.

Love Meryl Streep... but I dislike midcentury modern, nothing comfortably or homey about it and I really can't see her in it either, these images are probably the "before". On the other hand, the gardens are beautiful and would look great with a true Japanese style home. It looks like lots of Australian gum trees around the swimming pool... 🦘
