That opening 1st riff has a “Cemetery Gates” punch to your palm mutes right before the squeals from hell in the main heavy riff. Amp sounds pretty mean. Definately has a rawness the MKV didn’t have. 🤘🏻

Love that song! Yeah. I'm impressed with the VII so far - definitely more raw. I wasn't a big fan of the V. Love the IV I had and still regret letting that one go.

How does the VII compare to the IIIS? Eying both of them. This clip sounds great.

Thanks. The Mesa has a much bigger punch and tighter in the low end. I usually play the blue channel on the EVH with a boost and it's pretty killer too, but it doesn't hit you like the Mesa. The red channel on the EVH is a little compressed and has way too much gain. The Mesa is more tricky to get it sounding good, but once you do, it's pretty sick. You can't go wrong with either, but for the price, it's tough to be the EVH.

@@guitarwilly81 Oh. Sorry, misunderstood. lol. It's a nice cab. Highs are a little smooth out because bogner puts the poly fiber batting on the inside back panel. I like the Fryette better, but the Bogner is still good for a different flavor. It's darker and smoother in the high end. I imagine if I remove the batting (which I will likely do) it will accentuate the highs better. I will likely swap out the T75s for Creamback H75s. The Wizard cabs are more full sounding, but those are loaded with redbacks, which are probably my favorite speakers. Well one Wizard cab has v30/H75s but I mostly use that as the wet cab when I play W/D.

Yes. I didn’t like the V as much when I owned it (around the time they first came out). My tastes have changed since then though so maybe I’d like it more today. I had previously had a IV that I stupidly sold, so I was hoping for that in the V and didn’t get it.
