This really takes me back to my childhood 5+ decades ago when I would ride my bike one mile into Pineland TX to play on #28. It was retired and was coupled in front of another retired steamer, just like in this video. The other engine was Southern Pine high-drivered 2-6-2 #1140 (ex-Santa Fe); both engines were ex-Temple Lbr Co. I'd sit on one right-hand seatbox for awhile then move to the other, imaginarily engineering a double-header for mile after country mile....

No. 28's whistle sounds like GSMR 1702's original whistle.

Comparing the two engines 28 is larger with a correctly centered headlight and short Smoke Stack 7 is smaller with a tall Smoke Stack and a lowered centered headlight

comparing the size I think number 7 is smaller than number 28 and I'm surprised I thought number 7 will be bigger the fact that being a 2-8-2 Mikado

I would agree that number 28 is bigger than number 7 because I saw them in a night shot side by side and I could tell the difference in sizes between the two engines
