Its amazing how much better the town looks now compared to when this was filmed. Lots of work to do, but great progress has been made. The tours are getting popular and now they have added stage coach rides, a gatling gun demo, a vintage car show and meet movie cast events in January 2022.

That is true! As I've filmed there since this video, I've shown the progress. The Virgil Earp house is stable and getting an extension last time I saw.

Thanks Santee for taking the time to visit and film this authentic restoration of the old town. I wish they would do more of this instead of the demolition and "updating" so many do. The restoration takes longer, but the history that is saved for future generations is worth the cost and effort. I was glad to see so many actors working there trying to help the new owners.

Hi Santee! I am so glad to see the restoration of this old western set! While I am not completely sure, it looks as if this set might have been used in the Little House On The Prairie two part episode called "Gold Country" when the Ingalls family and their neighbors, the Edwards family, traveled to Dakota Territory hoping to strike it rich while panning for gold. I find it amazing at how many actual ghost towns still exist out West today. I think it would be really cool to visit one someday! Thanks for another great video. Take care & God bless!

The structures at [4:11 - 4:13] were used as the Pony Express Riders' bunkhouse [L] and Emma's House [R] on "Young Riders". Emma's House was fresh-built for that series, IIRC. I remember roofing it. Temperatures ran in the mid-Teens in July, '89, but it had to be done so ABC could have episode content by Fall. Beyond was the corral, and a big barn.
