I am seeking my roots. My mother was so ashamed of her people that it wasn't until recently she told me I was Mescalero Apache...I grew up thinking I was mexican! I feel robbed of my heritage how dare she!

Apache live in mexico they were just separated by the border when texas became part of the Americas. I hope Mexico acknowledges the Apache tribe.

I was honored to fight fire with the Mescaleros! Did a 23 night spike camp with them in Hillsboro on the Silver Fire in 2013. Great warriors, great Artists, great people!

I love my culture of being Apache and Eskimo indian and I have Spanish and American in me as well. Those types of true indians from the Tribes are so Beautiful 💕

Mescalero is a beautiful place, as a young man I lived on the reservation. I am a Apache from another reservation north and my homeland is beautiful . I respect the homelands n pray for my apache people to live in harmony and to continue to prosper....ehaadin

All people everywhere have gone through extreme hardships. We have to move on and move forward. Can’t live in the past. Especially centuries ago.

@@leefrancis4565 its called 'Nomadic.....and the number of indigenous that were true nomadic is actually rather small. Most indigenous tribes were nomadic within territory not nomadic without borders. The concept of 'owning' land is a European concept that indigenous had zero need for.

The place of trees,makes me feel like going 🏠 home back to the White mountains in Rainbow City in White River Az. I'm an apache from there and I 😃 sure would like to visit the Mescalero Apaches, because I have never been there before in my life!It seems funny how us apaches who still speak it are ugly but have 😍 beautiful girls and women!
