That would be awesome... A small group of us live on the Navajo reservation. Our clan is the Mesacalero Apache, our bloodline goes back to the Long Walk. I would like to learn more about my Mescalero Apache side... Maybe attend one of the community ceremonies or functions?

XOXO Lizzy I am also Mescalero Apache(also Oglala Lakota and Cherokee). I was raised off the res. But have been going to ceremonies my whole life and now am being trained by a Cherokee elder in the ways of rain medicine . I want so badly to join the tribe I came from . It’s pains me I can not always be there with my brothers and sisters .

I was watching this video because I met an old man today in the supermarket. He stopped me and told me that I had a bright Aura around me He said he was Apache Indian. He said his name was Staying Buffalo. So we started talking and I learned a few things from him like how to say I love you (Dabadi Yatami)I'm spelling it how it sounds. He talked abut his music he plays at ceremonies. I asked if they were private and he invited me to go. I was honored and I accepted. I can't wait to go. I will post whatever I have after I go.

I'm french. Not an american or a native american. My ancestors have never cross the Atlantic and i don't know much about your traditional culture. But we are in the 21e century now. And i learned that all cultures are worthy of interest. "Un homme est comme un arbre, il ne peut grandir sans ses racines" aka "A man is like a tree, it can not grow without roots". I'm a french with celtic and germanic roots, latin langage and a religion come from Middle Orient. Get to know your culture in what is best in the biggest possible number of people: Apache, native american, white, asiatic, africans, little green mens ... If you become proud of her, she will be saved. It is always good that different cultures meet: he always comes good things. I will never be an Apache. But maybe there does it in your culture an idea or concept that will I be a better man than I am. Be proud to be an american. Be proud to be a native american. Be proud to be an Apache, like i'm proud to be an European, a French citizen and a Picard.

You need to trace Goyathlay, medicine man and prophet of the Chiricahua Apache. The Chiricahua was forced from their reservation, on the south frontier to San Carlos, Arizona. That is where the trail begins, and leads to San Gabriel Mission, TONGVA tribe of Apaches., where other orphan Apache were dropped off by `One Who Yawns', so he can continue his battle, against the Mexican and Dragoon forces in 1854 threw 1886. Your research timeline should include those years but most documentation has been destroyed for various reasons. So you may find, a Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather, with no Birth Certificate or death record.

Funny though when you watch these videos on youtube there are always people claiming they're apache indians, ancestors who were pirates (pirates of the carribean vids obviously). You said it twice and I hardly scrolled down. So either you're full of it or simply living the hype of being one. Indian is a race, just like any other. Don't be so melodramatic.
