MeshTastic - A first steps guide to flashing firmware

Hi there, I have the version 2, I couldn't flash 2 boards and I don't know what is the reason. Any tip?

I have a majorissue in that I try flashing the board but it keeps getting stuck at 24% complete or some other level of complete. It doesn't finish flashing. Edit: I just selected a slightly older build and it went through no problem. The most recent stable release just did not want to be installed.

Where I am struggling is that of my 3 Heltec boards, I want to set one up as a router. Once I switched to that mode it ignored Bluetooth and I can't talk to it. I also wanted to know why my 3 devices do not show up on the Internet map.

How come my heltec devices are not recognized when I try to flash and update the firmware???

Hiya, what operating system are you using ? when I flashed from my Mac it recognised it straight away but from my Windows laptop I had to install a driver for the USB in order to recognise it.. the other thing is to try a different USB C cable, some only support charging and not data

@@techtonictim sorry for the long delay in between response. I was able to figure it out. I had to update the USB driver on my windows computer. You were correct. Thank you.

How do we make the sleep setting work? When mine goes in to deep sleep you can't wake it up. Have to reset it.

I have the power saving switched off in the App but screen blanking set to 15 seconds.. not had a sleep incident like that. Which software version are you running?
