So Meshuggah is actually ancient celestial Titans who record their music this way. The Meshuggah we, as humans have come to known are actually human figureheads placed before us with the music sped up and pitch corrected for us to more easily digest and understand. One day the God from the cover of the violent sleep of reason will appear on earth to unleash the heaviest song the world has ever heard.

Tool plays a spiritual, esoteric, soulful music, and Meshuggah plays a dark, soulless, cool touched, steel like frame of a higher level mechanic music. They are both pioneers of todays music, this is why they are recommended when there is an argument about on of them. And this is why they are toured with each other a bunch of times. Yes, they have a similar base of music structure, but the whole thing is quiet the opposite of each other. Like the poles of a magnet.
