Lyrics Pulled at Random, hehe... What solace lies in the arms of fate -The ill embrace of uncertainty When did I leave this in other hands -To be pulled down at chance Ripped away by destiny-claws Am I another of fate's possessions Dwelling the lie of freedom Just another straw pulled at random Reclaimed by deceiving time A silent judgement I can not overrule Drawn back into the origin-vortex Uprooted and ground to dust Retracted into anti-existence A magnet repelled by life's polarity Denied the self control of fate we flow suspended in semi-life Until the ever imminent day when oblivion claims our breath Nowhere indefinitely Not dead, not alive Existence-patterns ripped of symmetry as will and fate divide Have I appeased the gods of fate Am I allowed another day Must I die to escape the scanning eyes of death

why the fuck are we watching everyone except the lead guitar all through the solo?!

like the 1000 camera cuts per minute in the beginning weren't bad enough.. Filming Jens and his weird slo-motion dance (especially @ 4:33) I can sort of understand..he's an entertaining guy to watch.. but for the entire fucking solo except the tidbit at the end is just scandalous.

interesting is the "counting the beat" finger of the singer's hand that holds the microphone. He's like "ok hmmm now I switch from a 9/10 at 123 bpm to 3/5 at 78 bpm, and then I will just improvise, probably doing a herta with my vowels, accelerating by the square root of the tempo from the snare drums every 2.4 sec. Easy.

It's all feeling and groove. Most meshuggah songs can actually be counted out in 4/4. If you listen to Tomas playing drums, he almost always has something going at 4/4, whether it's his lead hand, snare hand, or hi hat chick
