Mesolongi Lagoon Greece 🇬🇷

The Mesolongi Lagoon is a large wetland located in the western part of Greece, near the town of Mesolongi. The lagoon is fed by the Acheloos and Evinos rivers and is connected to the Ionian Sea by a narrow channel. It is a protected area and an important habitat for a wide variety of bird species, including many migratory birds. The lagoon is a popular spot for birdwatching, as well as for activities such as fishing and boating. The surrounding area also boasts a rich variety of flora and fauna. The Mesolongi Lagoon is also an important area for fish farming.
