Let's be realistic. If Trump was in power, there would be no war. The fact of the matter is that Usriana consciously did not comply with the Minsk agreements. Confirmation of this: Merkel, Boris Johnson, Hollande, Poroshenko. Thanks to Biden for the war in Europe.

Biased towards European Military industrial Complex.Ignoring the fact that US payed Nazis to overthrow Ukraine.Ignoring the murder of Russian speaking people in Donbass for 8 years.Ignoring the fact that the United States destroyed the NordStream pipelines. No different than RT is within Russia. Why would the whole Western world ban RT from their countries if they believe in the principle of free speech? If their agenda was so just why are they afraid of any and all dissenting opinions? The only thing that is going to wake the West is kinetic action against all of them.

The Americans are really shinning now, and it suits them. After a series of highly questionable military actions, they appear to be fighting not for revenge, resources, misguided strategy, or domination, but for clear ethical principles. Help the weak defend themselves against a larger aggressor, and defend democratic self-determination from authoritarian rule. Not since WW2 has a cause been so morally unambiguous, and that was the last time we saw America, as its best self, provide assistance, because it is the right thing to do. My chief concern is that for basically all of its history as far as I can tell, America has always been internally divided, except when it has an external enemy. This does not bode well for a peaceful global order going into the future.
@amenbrother8818 Жыл бұрын
Nothing would be possible without the brave Ukrainians who are fighting and dying for their survival. Completely different from the lack grass roots response in Afghanistan, Iraq and Viet Nam.
@Coloradocrumble Жыл бұрын
The wars in the Middle East changed almost every aspect of society here in America, in a myriad of ways. When I was a boy, we were taught that the US always has noble intentions, even when we make mistakes. The Iraq War, in particular, radically shifted public perception of us always being the “good guys”, just as much as Vietnam did, but with an even larger amount of people, thanks to social media. The younger generations especially realize that America was at its best defending its allies, protecting the innocent and vulnerable, and being a defender of democratic values. However, your point about internal vs external problems is very correct, the concept of setting aside differences to work towards shared goals is seen as weak, by a sizable minority of the country. Abortion will probably remain the most important issue that trumps all others, which to me is extremely saddening.

In response to Mr. Herbst: do you really think it would be tactically wise for the Americans to announce what they are sending in military aid, and perhaps more importantly, when? -- one would expect some misinformation about these matters to be directed toward the Russians. After all, would'nt It would be wiser to keep the Russians in the dark about when weapons will be delivered to Ukraine -- the reason should be fairly obvious to even the most unmilitary mind. During WW2, the allies went to great lengths to misinform the Nazis -- clearly a wise tactic according to history.
@TrxmpBrownNosersBgone Жыл бұрын
It's the fog of war. Who knows what the Pentagon is really up to. Maybe it's all part of the plan. But it's kinda all visible on satellites now anyway. You could hide entire aircraft carriers in WW2. They relied on scout planes to find each other. A couple images from space and all is exposed.

While Ukraine is in a horrific war it's still far simpler to understand then the America's rising poverty, homelessness, disability crisis, eviction crisis, toxic train derailments, ect. These aren't problems you can solve just by throwing weapons and money at. The requirement of critical thinking is not being met by US lawmakers on either side of the aisle or by those seen as "alternatives". Truly complex society with very complex problems.
