His deadly shots, his precise passing, his beautiful touch, his instincts, his cleverness without even being a skiller just outsmarting your opponents .. its difficult to compare players through different generations, different positions, different qualities .. but the way Messi produces what looks like magic makes him the best football player of all time for me. Even tho he has worked his ass off aswell and had to go through a lot of trouble in his youth no player ever looked as gifted as Messi did. Im 31 now and im so thankful that i grew up in the past generation and lived through Messis what imo also marks the end of the beautiful game as we know it, football nowadays just doesnt hit as much as it used to anymore and with all the bullshit going on it will just get worse. Ballondor today was another bad example: Once a respected award to honor the greatest of the sport has it gone from honesty to voting for your buddies to a ceremony that allows clowns like Speed to show up.
