Ronaldo is much faster than Messi and he's 2 years older. His jumping is higher than an average NBA player and his heading is amazing. As you mentioned, Ronaldo is taller and stronger and has better physical. Ronaldo is much better at shooting than Messi don't cry that he had more shots to score goals because that's irrelevant. Ronaldo can score absolute bangers and long distance shots, which is something that Messi can't. Not to mention Ronaldo's weak foot ability, which is superb and he can use his left foot so well as proven by many goals he scored with it. I think one underrated aspect of Ronaldo's play is his tactical awareness and movement off the ball. He's honestly on another level than other strikers on moving himself and creating chances (hence leading him to have more shots). Also his qualities as a leader are amazing: just look at the Euro final. He got injured but instead of fucking off somewhere he went back onto the sidelines and started cheering and backing his team. This guy is truly amazing. I don't see Messi do this. Lastly, Ronaldo has proven to be the best in every league he went. His career in the Premier league was amazing, he took the league by storm as a youngster and won UCL and multiple league and cup titles with Man Utd. BPL was at the time, and still arguably the most competitive and challenging league today. Went to Real Madrid, historically the best team in history and became the club's top goal scorer and won 4 UCL titles with it. And he's now gone to Juventus, another different league with big, historic clubs like AC milan, Napoli who are doing really well at the moment and Inter / Roma. Seria A is considered to be the most defensive league in the world, and Ronaldo still is the top goal scorer in the league and has one of the most assists. Truly phenomenal. Lastly, not to mention that Ronaldo brought Portugal to become the champions of Europe. Although he was injured in the final, he was there the whole tournament and without him, Portugal simply wouldn't have made it that far (just look at the game against wales). Whilst Messi can't even win a much inferior Copa América with one of the most historically dominant nations (apart from Brazil). Honestly, Ronaldo is amazing and inspired many footballers like Mpabbe. His work ethic is far above any other player in world football, and his athletism is something that many footballers wish they had. Just look at his medical for Juventus, he's got the same fitness as a 22 year old. But no disrespect to Messi, he's done amazing things and he was moments of pure magic that are a joy to watch. I personally think Ronaldo is a better player, but both of them are the greatest players of all time and we're lucky to watch both of them play. And I'm sure when both of them retire, we'll all miss them and their rivalry. Honestly both are truly phenomenal players.

Messi - Incredible balance, wicked accuracy, surprising strength in shots, no one is a better dribbler, passes are sublime, very fast, stronger than people give him credit for (think about the challenges and tackles he bounces past, they make contact and he usually stays up (even ramos/casemiro), defensive output is high for a striker/winger/cf when compared to ronaldo, ability to flip a game on its head in an instant, loyalty (shows heart, pride and leadership), he's short but he can still score headers (UCL final anyone?), shows up in the big games and in the direst moments (don't forget he dragged argentina to WC), over 18/19 season so far has scored more than ronaldo, is second in chance creation in europe (ronaldo isn't on the list), messi has more assists than ronaldo so far. Ronaldo - Stronger than messi, no longer as accurate from freekicks, strength of shot is higher than messi (whip dip and knuckle), can't dribble even close to messi in tight spots, ronaldo performs far more tricks to beat a man (compare to messi using momentum and close touch), passes fall short compared to messi, faster than messi on the sprint (not on the dribble certainly), defensive output isn't the same lately, while club longevity is good for ronaldo its not the same as messi, he is a sublime leader on the pitch (especially for portugal), better vertical and resulting headers than messi, also a big game player, 18/19 output doesn't compare to messi in terms of goals, assists or key passes. For 18/19, Messi takes the cake, overall as players both have their purpose in their squads, both lead, both score, both are terrific. However, Messi beats out ronaldo in a few technical spots, and his overall composure (see scoring and assists 18/19), ronaldo is a great physical specimen but is losing his edge a bit especially when it comes to speed and accuracy (watch his passing). 18/19 Messi>Ronaldo, over the years it fluxuates between the two as evidenced by their awards (ballon d'or) and their success in their respective clubs and national teams.

Cristiano Ronaldo= Hard earned talent, very hard to predict, has that kind of "instinct", aerial danger, very physical and great shooting. You decide who is better, for me it is Cristiano, but I am also portuguese, so I guess I am biased. Choose for yourself and stop comparing them, they are very different players and both are very important for their teams and no other player can change the whole team mentality as both of them. From the World Cup I'd say Messi is better because the Argentinian national team is always put on Messi's head by the coaches and he still performs under all that pressure, whereas Ronaldo has the reputation to live up to but the players around him are treated as equals and so he doesn't have as much pressure, but acts like a diva when things don't go his way and acts like he is the team
