Jewish text is written in God's language. English and all other languages are artificial (made by man) and therefore cannot be perfect and multi-dimensional. There are at least 5 levels for how to understand it; There's the simple literal aspect, the hinted at aspect, the esoteric Kabbalist view, the Chassidic perspective, there's a numerical aspect, etc.). Bear that in mind when you study Hebrew text, God's language. You remind me of Reginald Howard White who also loved the Jewish texts.

@Paul_CTID Listen to whom? To missionaries who do not understand and distort the scriptures? Deuteronomy 17: 8 When a matter is not clear Jews should request the Levites to make a determination on the subject. The Levites and the Sanhedrin made that determination and rejected Jesus as a Messiah. So the Jews complied with the scriptures...if the Levites and the Sanhedrin were wrong it was up to Jesus to convince them of his mission.

@tipdrill153 ай бұрын
One of the reasons it isn't like this in the US is because so many who claim to follow Jesus do not approach the non believers as Jesus would. So it has caused so many to think all Christians are that way, that we hate them and will yell at them how they are going to hell especially if they offend us. That we are disgusted by them. There is a young Christian KZbinr named Bryce Crawford he goes to Pride parades and all types of similar sin filled events to talk about Jesus with people. You can really see the Spirit moving with him and through him. When you look at how he talks and interacts with people you really see the love of Jesus. You should go watch some of his stuff, it's really inspiring. One of my Pastors taught on this once and said correction takes connection. Meaning that I need to connect with this person first, show them the love of Christ, point them to Jesus who will ultimately correct them, and help them with that journey. We are called to judge the sin not the sinner, to love our neighbor as ourself, we obviously should not approve of the sin or lifestyle. But we have to connect with those who are lost just as we once were, so that they value what we say instead of just telling them they are wrong and are going to hell. A common phrase so called Christians will use is oh you will see on judgment day when you are standing before him. Which truly breaks my heart because I don't ever wish that on anyone that they stand in front of him having not believed in him, saying that to someone is definitely not showing the love of Christ. Part of me prays people in the Body of Christ will understand all this but at the same time I see how it feeds into God's plans for the second coming. In the last days Christians will be persecuted and the hate so many people put out that claim to be Christians is fueling that fire and leading us that way. So all I can do is pray for God to delay his plans so that more people can come to true repentance because I know no matter what that is where we are headed because Jesus told us we would!

There's no messiah in the bible, but anointed. This is what mashiach means: something anointed by Elohim for a mission. Sadly, both (Judaism and Christianity) have a wrong concept about it, and soon, both will see nothing They want will happen, because what Elohim wants is totally, totally different. Ironically, the Jewish literature says the same.
@BjerkeYT3 ай бұрын
@@Bolaway Yes, Mashiach does mean "anointed one" in Hebrew. Jesus was anointed by the Father for a mission to redeem humanity of its sins. Jesus is the fulfillment of the prophecies about the Messiah in the Tanakh (Isaiah 53; Isaiah 7; Micah 5; Daniel 7, etc.), although Jews interpret these differently. The Scriptures speak of many anointed ones, many mashiachs. But the earlier mashiachs (kings and priests) were foreshadowing or "types" of the ultimate Mashiach, which is Jesus Christ. This theology is also present in the Tanakh, as it speks of THE anointed one coming from King David's lineage (2 Samuel 7:12-13, and Isaiah 11:1), which Jesus does. Regarding your statement, “what Elohim wants is totally different.” Yes, what God wants is beyond our understanding. But we believe that in Jesus, the fullness of God's will has been revealed, as He is the Messiah promised in Scripture. While there are certainly aspects of God's plan we won’t fully grasp until the End Times, we trust that Jesus has already revealed the heart of God’s redemptive plan for humanity for us to follow and to redeems us and grant us eternal life with God.

The Hebrews had forgotten about God's promise to Adam and all who followed. They were not even looking for a Messiah. 1.) They had turned their backs to God. (The Gentile Magi, who were Chaldeans, had never forgotten the prophecy Daniel had told them so they were still watching for the sign and followed the star to Bethlehem.) 2.) When God's people refused God's son, they turned their backs to their Messiah. 3.) When God's people stoned Stephen to death, even though the whole Sanhedrin council saw his face glow like an angel, they turned their backs to God’s Holy Spirit....so God turned his back to them! 1 John 2:23 “Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.” “No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” “Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either.” He cut the Jews off of the ‘Fig Tree’ and grafted the wild Gentile Branch onto the ‘Fig Tree’. But after the 7 years of Tribulation, with the Jews about to be destroyed by Satan, they will fulfill prophecy and say: "Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord!"(Matt. 23:39). Christ will appear and save them from destruction!! God will forgive them, accept them back and they will be more easily grafted back onto the ‘Fig Tree’ than the wild branch of the Gentiles was grafted onto it! But, until then...

You are literally watching a conversation that for centuries could not happen in lands run by theocracies. You have two individuals that would be considered heretics to many of their more orthodox peers. A guy who believes the rebbe who died in 1994 maybe didn't really die and will return, and a messianic Jew who believes that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah and will return. This is a once in several centuries occurrence and allows both Jews and Christians to see what Messianism among various groups might have actually looked like 2000 years ago. Schmuel was great and so sincere -what a great conversation. " I think we should have 100 years to talk.." so cool. I love this channel and what you all do! I had a Jewish boyfriend and I am Christian, we both have learned so much about each other's beliefs. I thank Hashem for having the beautiful Jewish culture to have entered my life.

Did you watch “the Chosen” by chance? I feel it’s such a love letter to honor the Jewish people. Yeshua, all the talmidim (disciples) are all Jews. No catholics, no baptists, only Jews meeting someone they can’t quite seem to fully categorize. What manner of man is this?

I cannot disagree. I think Shmuel is very humble and Jeff does a good job of matching & mirroring his humility and meeting him right there. I love that they all wrapped Tfellin, and Shmuel … you did that! They demonstrated such love in humility. After watching the Chosen, I’m not sure that Jesus wouldn’t have wrapped Tfellin too (assuming it goes back that far). I’ve watched several of the videos on this channel, but I never seen that happen before, and I think it really touched Shmuel that first Jeff volunteered and then when Shmuel asked for the rest of the friends to do it and record it and post it on the video, Jeff said “yes and … ” without hesitation or consultation. Father, we 🙏🙏🙏 that Ruach HaKodesh will open Shmuel’s heart and show him if Yeshua is beautiful and potentially the Messiah … or worthy of the rejection that has been implied by RamBam and the other Rabbinic sages over the centuries. But honestly, the humility and love Jeff and the team exhibited is going to make that second conclusion unlikely.

Gentile christian? What do you mean? Even Abraham was Gentile, he was idol worshipper too!!! The word Jew means one who belongs to God Jevovah{only God Jevovah} The moment they break this deal with God, and didnt accept true messiah, they are worse than gentiles.Same goes to everyone who become christians! They have laws, we have laws by the grace of God/Yeshua. Until unless Jews accept one and only true messiah they are worse than Goyi or Gentiles.

Jeff is giving us a master class in humility and love in action, but I don’t know that he’d want us to agree that we cannot strive to emulate him. We need to believe that God can help us grow in grace and humility and even if we don’t record it on KZbin we can be where He wants us to be and have these same kind of conversations, marked by love and truth.

Jeff’s respect and demeanor as well as his obvious love for people and the WORD is why I watch. My KZbin channel is about healthy choices in cooking as well as household hacks but when I take time to relax (sit in my sunroom hand-drawing greeting cards) I love to tune in.
