Keep having faith in God! My brother couldn’t speak and would mumble words when he was 3-10years old. My parents didn’t give up and was sending him to speech therapy. Now he’s doing great in high school, got his scholarship and will be attending his dream college next year! I believe that God can do great things and even better with MJ🙏🏿

I am an occupational therapist who have seen cases of children with Autism have amazing turn arounds. Early intervention is key! Early intervention meaning speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and possibly even physical therapy during early childhood goes a long way with the progress of many children with Autism ! If you haven't already, seek early intervention services for your son. And of course Prayer is number 1🙏

My parents told me I didn’t speak at all until was almost 3 years old. I was a silent baby but the day I opened my mouth I was speaking full sentences and clearly . Some children do develop in their speech a little later and that’s ok. I know with God all things are possible and even for Him to intervene for MJ.

This is exactly how my husband and I feel. We pastor a small church, love Jesus and we have a son who is nonverbal and diagnosed with autism at 21 months. We too believe God for a miracle! At 71 my grandma had tb meningitis on the brain and spine. She was in a coma for about 2 months. Doctors said she would mostly likely never walk again or mentally be the same. And today at 75 she can walk and her mental state is better than ever. Long years of recovery but it was all worth having faith in. God can do all things! He will do it again and again and again. It may not be on your timing, but He will come through!💓

This just blessed my entire life...my family is facing this too! We still believe the report of the Lord! They said my nephew wouldn't talk and now we can get him to hush🤣❤🙇🏽‍♀️. Your son is a miracle. You can now minister to others with children with autism. My daughter has autism and I don't want God to change her. She's sweet and precious the way she is. We do have problems but God takes care of those. Love your son through the autism

Just yesterday I was hurting because my daughter struggles to breathe easily at night. YEARS back both my girls were diagnosed with adeniods. they were really ill and neede operation but had no money being a single mom. Men of God prayed and said they will be heales without operations. I believed God. One is reality better but the second on and off and sometimes I cry at night when she is struggling. This story gives me encouragement that GOD as got us. He 's got our KIDS. This is a walk of faith

I have an older sibling who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2 he is now 27, still has not said a word. It is hard and some days are harder than others but God is good and all we can do is thank God for him and for allowing us to be blessed with loving someone who is on the spectrum. I pray God will give Pastor Mike and Natalie the strength and patience to love and care for MJ.

Be encouraged. Don't accept the diagnosis, speak otherwise. I had a niece who didn't talk much as a toddler. We were concerned that she wasn't progressing normally. However, we soon realized she just didn't want to talk. She observed a lot. Now at 10, she just doesn't shut up🤣 I'm saying this to say, believe in the report of the Lord. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!..My daughter did not speak until she her fourth year, she is five now. She is in Pre-K reading at a first grade level . She was in speech therapy since she was 18 months. I would not let them pronounce ANYTHING over my child. I would declare Mark 7:37 NLT over her "Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.” DO NOT LET UP!! Stand your ground in the healing Christ has already provided.

I disagree with the “praying for healing” rhetoric in the previous comments... hopes for people on the spectrum/people with disabilities in general shouldn’t put sole focus on being “healed” from the disability, but hoping and praying for the person to do well in the avenues they pursue. As someone studying to be an SLP, it is important to shift the narrative from hoping for the person to be neurotypical, but for them to be happy and feel comfortable in themselves, despite their differences. I can tell Michael and Natalie are great parents, and will ensure that MJ receives the therapy/assistance to aid in his development, and overall success in life. ❤️

Please get this to these lovely people. Pastor Mike has a body type that does very poorly on gluten, casein, and fructose. Also, autistic children, it has been recorded that many autistic children show significant improvement when they start eating a keto paleo diet (no sugar, gluten, or casein) very low carb. So do green veggies, eggs, meat and animal fat or olive oil (animal fat is better), rice, potatoes and sweet potatoes. Give him only gluten and casein free sweets with stevia. Try this for the whole family. I'm guessing pastor Mike eats the same amount of food but on occasion his weight blows up for no apparent reason? This is due to a metabolic syndrome caused by inflammation that gluten, and casein, and sugar cause. Very tall people with large body frames can tolerate these components of food, that nobody should have really, even less than other people. We simply didn't evolve for the fast pace our diet has been changing at. On keto paleo your son might still have asperger's brain, but asperger's people talk and they are amazing. I'm married to a man with asperger's brain and I would never wish for my husband to be neurotypical. Edit: Asperger's isn't a handicap. Elon Musk has Asperger's brain. Change your son's diet and don't let the shrinks put him on any drugs. I will pray for you to not let shrinks drug your perfect child.
