In this video we play counter strike global offensive ( CS:GO ) against some low rank players, this obviously leads us to just start doing dumb silly plays, but do we still win?

My thoughts for members only content would be things like solo let’s plays, maybe extended games and guests episodes, maybe vlogs, maybe early access to videos, a members only discord, and maybe when I try new styles of content I would show members the draft cut and they would tell me what they think before I finalise the upload

For the members content, I might be willing to pay for some IRL content like you cooking, doing unboxings, trying stupid ass internet hacks, etc. Your humor really shines through things like that too. Like when you did that 100 amazon package unboxing video a handful of years ago. Or maybe some gaming series where we get to watch you play through rpgs like minecraft, stardew valley, farming simulator, sims 4, etc.

Definitely take advantage of the members-only content idea, or test it out at the very least. If I were to buy a membership I’d probably be looking for videos like this but longer. Like maybe hour-long game sessions? People that pay get a full-length vid, warts & all, while main KZbin gets the usual, more algo-friendly, cut-down version? Maybe, if this is even possible, members get Early Access to videos before they hit Public? I don’t know, I think most people, when supporting someone’s Patreon and stuff like that, are just looking for a different level of Creator “intimacy” (for lack of a better word), so maybe just *any* idea you wouldn’t normally turn into a video because it wouldn’t get as many views or fit with the theme…can be members-only content? Maybe you play games that aren’t as popular/games you wouldn’t normally play? Maybe content even outside of gaming? Just some ideas. I definitely think you should take advantage of memberships, though.

I dont think members only content would be something toby should do yet. For the time being, i think she should work on building back her fan base by providing this kind of content. Her longer less edited videos provide something her friends videos dont. I love the longer videos because it shows a more personal side of the content. I think making a seperate place for this style of video cuts down a major part of the audience. Her longer videos remind me of me and my friends playing and shooting the shit, thats something you never see now a days. id suggest if she wants to do a patreon, it should be content like the games and guests. Right now she just got back into youtube again and i dont think she has enough fan base to make the patreon worth it. How mcnastys videos are now is something i think toby should try and replicate with her own twist.

@@hairyshaft a lot of what you said is the reason behind why I listed various other options, like early access to videos, and videos playing other games that normally wouldn’t work on the channel due to the algorithm. And you wouldn’t need to take the longer videos away from the channel in order to make them members-only. You can apply that longer video style to literally any other game, like old games that Tobi’s passionate about or loved growing up that wouldn’t perform well on the channel. Like I said, Creator “intimacy”. You could even have an hour long session of *just* Tobi talking about literally anything while playing- it doesn’t have to be long sessions of the Misfits playing CS:GO. Also, some of these longer videos end up around the 30 minute mark. So maybe the ones that go up on the channel can stay half an hour and members-only is a full hour. Or the channel gets an hour and members get 1h30m. Or the channel gets whatever they get but members get to see it first. Out of all the ideas I listed, you can mix and match to make some really interesting incentives for people to join as members. Content that you can’t get on the channel because it’s not as likely to get views is not only intriguing, but also really efficient creatively and will probably be more fun to make. Tobi can widen those creative horizons without the risk of “wasted effort” on videos that would normally underperform. As for the whole “rebuilding audience” bit, I’m not gonna comment on that because I have no idea how much merit that point has. All I know is that the worth of exclusive memberships is determined *only* by the fans you have at your disposal. Thats why I suggested at least *testing* it out first to see if the results are there to make creating exclusive content worthwhile. If not enough people want it, or not enough people want it at this time- fair enough. But if Tob’s is bringing it up in videos, clearly they seem to think it’s an idea worth pursuing. Otherwise, why bring it up in the first place? And if you’re considering it, why not at least try it? If there’s demand, there’s money to be made. And I think all creators should feel comfortable pursuing not only new avenues to expand creativity and try new things, but also getting paid handsomely for their hard work. That’s just me.
