When I was decluttering 'big time' I took digital pictures of unused & stored-out-of-sight sentimental items. I also prayed over all items before sharing with a charitable group...that the next 'steward of my stuff' will be blessed & have a happy life. Doing these 2 things made & still makes letting go a breeze! ♡

Happened to me just now. I really dont have the energy to clean my room. But i know i need to clean my room because its really messy and it makes me feel uncomfortable like i feel like i am ignoring my responsibility. I however get up, made the sign of the cross and then pray. God, i am really tired and i feel like i dont want to clean my room but i know i have to and i must. Therefore i pray so that you give me the strength i need and i offer up this duty to the glory of your name. In jesus christ i pray, amen. And now, my room is cleaned. I believe that i can bear all hardship in god. Haleluyah.

I have been slowly decluttering things for the last year. I set the timer for 30 minutes and then have a 30 minute knit or crochet break. Many times I work longer. It’s just getting started that takes so long! Prayer definitely helps!💗🙏

Procrastination has been one of my worst habits all my life, and it often leads me to the mortal sin of sloth. Oh my gosh, this is me for sure, nobody see the room but me. I asked and prayed help me to clean up the corner9 bottom closet. Yes, I look at it then leave to go back to my rocking chair and utube. My evening prayer is asking Jesus to help me become motivated but I love cooking so this makes me happy ,I go back to kitchen and then another day continueb to close the closet door. O,k, I will try again 2 minutes it is hard when nobody cares but me😢Summer is over and those beautiful items must wait fir a new spring day. The problem is I do the same waiting game with friends "tomorrow I will go visit" sadly one passed away recently. See, waiting is not good.

Theodore Roosevelt once said, "The first test of a balanced society is how it treats its children. If we cannot form a balanced society by first teaching children to keep their rooms in order, then we cannot form a balanced society at all." This quote suggests that how a society treats and educates its children is a key indicator of its health and balance. By teaching children the values of cleanliness, organization, and responsibility, such as keeping their rooms in order, a society can lay the foundation for a harmonious and well-balanced society. The Bible says, (Prov. 22:6) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

And i have a bad back so sonetimes i wear both a back brace and a knee brace. But my husband has dementia and I take care of him and do the cleaning, shopping, driving to doctors, cooking, vacuuming, laundry. I always tell God-- well I know that was you because I sure didn't do it in my own strength. And I ask Him for the will and ability to do what I have to do because-- sometimes I feel like -- I just can't. But he always gives me the strength.

I have a rule father mark. If I get something out wheather I utilize it or not it's my duty to imidely return it to its designated position or destined position let's say a laundry basket. If I use a plate I imidely wash it after use and put it away where it belongs. I taught my children to do the same when they were little. They grew up to be tidy❤
