I don't think she broke any law though. Harmonie needs to know the law inside out to defend herself. If you know how to remove yourself from the jurisdiction of the police they can't stop you playing. However until you learn how to stand up to them with lawful force (stating your intention to sue them for malfeasance if they overstep), they will bother you until you stop playing. You need to learn how to turn the tables on them. I know because I have busked in the non-busking zone in Birmingham and the police couldn't move me on because I knew the law too well to fall into any of their traps. If you even answer their questions you have given them joinder. They are well trained, you have to get VERY smart to win this game.

It was bad enough that the so called female "officer" got it so wrong and either didn't know the law, made up her own law or didn't give a rip what the laws are but then she did the most juvenile thing ever, and that was sticking her tongue out at the young lady. She didn't make a "boo boo" she deliberately and with malice forced Harmonie off the street. What a horrid embarrassment that so-called officer is to the police department. I sincerely hope she was removed from the force.

This woman is a gem. She didnt make any assumtions about the cops behaviour. She packed up her things despite probably not having to. She remained calm and polite in a stressful situation.
