The glasses idea is the same that came out with the Amazon Echo Frames that integrate Alexa and they're on the third gen now. The future could bring up to merge the smartglasses with VR visors offering a new perspective of ordinary life. The Quest 3 came out so close to the next Black Friday deals that i'm thinking about waiting for the basic model price to go down but it's not easy to resist

Zucc is preaching to the choir here for me, I'm already fully aboard the VR train and I've held off on buying a Quest 2 for years because I was waiting for the Quest 3 (I already had a Quest 1 and didn't feel like Quest 2 was enough of an upgrade to buy a whole new headset), but Quest 3 legitimately feels like a generational step forward. Day 1 purchase for me without question, especially at that price!

I know the quest 4 is most likely gonna come out, but I'm still going to be mad when it does (yes, ik I could just sell the quest 3 if I have it, but still) also while it seems near perfect, the tracking for hands and controllers seems off unlike the quest pro, and they also don't have face/eye tracking like the pro, which is disappointing. I wouldn't mind the faster drain with both when I could have the battery bank accessory. Lastly, the controllers are still reliant upon double AA's instead of being rechargeable, which is not excusable. I wish at least that the lower end model had more space, or that the higher end had pretty much all of these features here included, I don't care about whatever "free" months of subscription they have on that. If they want to give people more value for that, let us pick 2 games for free or something.

Actually it is advancing much slower than it did ten years ago. It has taken so long to get to this level of AR and there is still far to go. In regard to AI though you’re right that there has recently been a huge breakthrough. But let’s hope something happens with chips and batteries soon🤞

I think that they're trying to give specific, more realistic personalities to each AI (my guess). If you talk to ChatGPT, it's basically just a very friendly scholar, but it doesn't have its own lingo or quirks or anything like a friend might have.

Extremely doubtful that happens. Meta tried to put ads in paid quest games and those games died immediately as a result. Ads will be part of other app, but they will not be that intrusive, because Meta isn't a stupid company. They want these devices priced for everyone
