I was told the rotation being forced on the player base much later than here would lead to the game eventually croaking. I was completely unaware that rotation was optional earlier on. So about rotation v ongoing; rotation is easier to handle internally too. You can hold things off till you don't have to worry about them causing an issue, just keep the design in your back pocket till the game is ready. The reality is that ongoing is ultimately preferred by most people as they aren't so fantatical about a game that they want to play everything, they have their small pool of decks and just keep updating them. While over time most every single card may be replaced, it doesn't matter, it's the psychology that matters. They want these new cards to update their decks, they haven't been forced to buy new cards.

For anyone else building old block decks with A New Cronicle in the block, the Guardian of the Village tins reprinted ADP Sakura. The latest pack in that tin is A New Cronicle, so promos from that tin should be legal in a block containing that set (in the us). I've opened those tins and there are other people's old openings on KZbin to verify.

I do, though my knowledge of the Bleach card game is pretty limited. Currently my eyes are on Digimon, Zatch Bell, Yu Yu Hakusho, and DBZ if I ever get this series finished.

Since you mentioned promos in the video, do you (or anyone else reading this) know why some promo cards share the same number? I’ve noticed some cards like a Sasuke and killer bee are both labeled PR 068 for example and both seem to be legit as far as I can tell. It may be that some are misprints or that the English release had quality control issues, but either way it’s been a huge headache for me since I’m trying to collect numbered promos.

I see what you mean, but I think in this case it was just a printing issue lol. Thanks for the reply. I’ve also noticed the same issue with PR 024 and 025 each having two cards sharing that printing. While not relevant to the meta series I think the topic could make an interesting video on its own.
