Metabo Framing Nailer Review and Fail with Small Compressor Test

Great video, I've used my Ryobi cordless 1 gal compressor with my framing nailer for small jobs because of the mobility , compact and light weight instead of lugging my 6 gal plug in compressor , i get about 3 maybe 4 nails before compressor kicks in and i can get 8 or 9 nails in before i get a proud nail. Works great for small stuff, for bigger jobs i lug the 6 gal plug in craftsman or Porter cable, we have both and both work great. Well they all work great.

Great info. Thanks. Yeah, I still like my California air quiet compressor for indoor work. Perfect for trim work and other small work. I even did wood flooring because it was a small room and I was by myself so the cadence of nailing did not overwhelm the air output.

@@handyhomerepairs 100% agree, these little air compressor are great for trim work , i can run a 15g finish or 18g brad all day with the little 1gal . Haven't tried installing wood flooring with it yet , but will try it when i get a hardwood flooring job.

Thanks for the video. Your result shows that the compressor can't really keep up with the demand if you're framing. It may get do well for remodeling projects, though.

Yes. I had a framing job where I put in several thousand nails. I wouldn’t have been able to do it with the small one. I used Metabo “tank” and it worked great.
