hi dom,I have the speed booster s for canon.you do not get auto focus,but you control the aperture from the camera and "is" is supported.my speed booster fits perfect between lens and camera , machining is amazing.i have multible ,f2 lenses which show on the camera display ,but they state on the metabones web site that the canon f 1.2 with show up as 1.2 , but it is f1.i also agree with you about the iso and depth of field,if you set your gh4 to say f4 ,you are getting depth of field more like f7,f8.i think this is great for video.lets say a very dark room and you set your f-stop to f2.8 ,the depth of field is more like f 5.6................geoff

With you doing a lot of property photography would you ever consider trying out the canon 10-18mm EF-S STM out on the canon 550D? I know it'd not a super fast lens but if you're using it to shoot indoors you'd be using flash. I'm planning on buying this and working on my property portfolio and use it for car photography, I keep getting drawn to the faster tokina lens but its like twice the size and twice the weight which I really don't want to lug around lol. Also are you planning on getting the new yongnuo 50 1.8, it looks like it's going to be the best deal in photography this year!

There is another new MFT lens option from Japan, the PROMINAR range of lenses. 12mm f1.8, 25mm 1.8 and 8.5mm f2.8. They do not seem to be on general sale, but you could try the Prominar website. I have the (manual) Voigtlander Nokton f0.95 17.5mm MFT and, while being a little heavy, it is a lovely lens for MFT.

What about Samyang 12mm f/2.0, that could be interesting? You can put filters on it and take the hood off.

Hi, very nice video! Could you tell me what to set on the speedbooster's aperture ring to get the widest open aperture for your lens? If it was f1.8, what do I adjust then? Do I adjust it to f1.2 or to f1.8?

So i have that Tokina as well as a Nikon 50mm 1.8 Prime and a AF-S Nikkor 17-55mm 2.8 .... and the new camera is Panasonic GH4......will this mean when i shoot video there will be NO autofocus with speedbooster?!?!?

the speed booster does not have auto focus ability. but when shooting video you would want to be using manual focusing anyway. and with the gh4 you have focus peaking to help you out.

Dont get the Samyang/Rokinon lenses!! Have to take the lens apart to adjust infinity focus. Sooooo annoying!

I've spent nearly USD 500 in the Metabones Speedboster for my Olympus OMD EM10 and I have to say I could have saved that money. It works well only from f / 1: 4 to f/ 1:11. At f / 1: 2 or less to f / 1: 1.4 only works well in the center of the image. At the sides and corners is very, very soft and sometimes provides chromatic aberrations. Therefore the extra stop is useless and is better to spend that money on a good native lens. I am outraged that Brian Caldwell told me that the problem is the lens Canon FD 50mm f / 1: 1.4. The speedboosters stop up 1.3%, so f2.8 becomes something weird like f1.7. My FS7 reports f1.7 from my Canon 16-35. Too much math arrgghh
