What is internal data and external data ?

External data is stored in the raw format which comes from csv file or any other RDBMS such as Oracle, Mysql, SQL Server. This external data is ingested into the internal tables by using sqoop if we are using hadoop platform which is then filtered as per access required and used for reporting and analysis through direct querying the data by using Impala, Hive or directly pulled into PBI reports for visualisation of the data.
