Thanks for the shout-out, mate! So proud you followed my advice on getting this bad boy!

Glad you won me over. It had been a temptation because Metagate has proven to be top-notch transformation design.
@DoctorPhileasFragg2 ай бұрын
This is a very clever design, but it relies on making the two modes share textures that the original Beast Wars character's modes don't. I'm still tempted to get this since it's my favorite character from the show.

God, imagine if they release a version where he's completely smooth.

Insane how much the figure's stature changes between modes.

I would really like to know how these amazing toy makers actually design these toys. I mean, when you have to design something that can transform into something else entirely, it needs a lot of creative thinking, and I'm curious to see the full thought process from an idea's conception to the final design.
@peolesdru2 ай бұрын
I imagine modern CAD software has made the process much more efficient and has allowed for more complex designs. I would also love to see the process of a good design team.
@daneyal71622 ай бұрын
@@peolesdru same. I mean, I may not be a transformers toys designer, but I like to build with lego a lot, and I know that the process to get from an idea that you envision in your mind to a final product can be a lot longer than what people think.

Definitely clever, but I wish they had engineered in some articulation in alt mode, though I can certainly see why that would be tricky. I would love to see somebody take this sort of approach to an Arcee where instead of the whole car ending up on her back, some could fold inside her legs or torso or something.
@peolesdru2 ай бұрын
I would love to see Unique Toys do Arcee.
@rjz43292 ай бұрын
@@peolesdru Agreed, though they seem to be pretty committed to movie designs. Speaking of, there's an AAT design for Cogman (I think?) that looks quite impressive -- if I thought it would ever be released or be of decent quality when it was. But whatever is going on in that engineering is something I'd like to see in an Arcee.
@peolesdru2 ай бұрын
@@rjz4329 I have that AAT Cogman on preorder - it looks interesting. My favorite Arcee is still MMC's Azalea.
@rjz43292 ай бұрын
@peolesdru I think I agree regarding Azalea design-wise. In practice it never seemed to clip together and satisfactorily as I might've liked.
