Looks great! One trick on that metal siding is to predrill the holes with the panels stacked together. That way you don't have to worry about the screws staying level.

Great job at yard sale. Besides the screws being a good deal that mixer, I got same one from Amazon for 12 dollars. Used it to mix tea for my garden using worm castings and fertilizer. Good score.

looks great ! thought i might add this on shipping containers. when buying a used container, one should make sure the ground boards were not sprayed with chemicals to prevent rotting and such. could be dangerous breathing for long periods. for storage, i Assume it shouldn't be a problem. for those who make homes with shipping containers, then they may want to remove these boards.

I insulated all the walls in my 14' cargo trailer cutting all the insulation with a hand saw. When I got to ceiling I tried a sheet rock knife, cuts just like sheet rock. Score one side break in half cut paper on other side and your done 0 mess. Unlike hand saw that made big mess. Your insulation knife is a mix of both, it's shaped a little like an old bayonet.

thanks for posting, looks great! I'm looking to insulate from outside as well. Question, how come you didn't want to put the 2 x 3 in the corrugation of the trailer exteriod side - and then nail the rigid insulation to the 2 x 3? (you wouldn't have to cut up the insulation boards). and Which type of screws did you use to attach 2x3 (4) into your storage container sides? no carriage bolts right?
@Robinson-Homestead2 жыл бұрын
I used tekk screws self tappers.

First came across your cargo trailer build as I also built a cargo camper and was doing some searching. We have a 900 square foot cabin up in the mountains and need to build a storage building this summer for the tractor and the trailer. I snow bird though.
