Hiya 👋 I was just flicking through KZbin and came across your channel. Thats some nice soft ground to dig in. I like the cross makers and that buckle is ace. Nice NW button ,you certainly have a good collection of finds i think my favourite find is the beaver 😂 and that button before your ring find. Thanks for sharing Maria 🍀

Thank you very much. I’d be happy to help. I do a lot of research to get me in a general area. From there I look for geographical clues to help guide me. Honestly I even look at the plants and tree size. Certain plants really clue me in to where to hunt.
@MD-NWWI4 ай бұрын
Absolutely amazing hunt again. We located our northwest trade post up here. Sadly it's under a concrete plant! I would like to learn from you on how you find these trade sites. I'm sure there must be more around here!
@Eric_Detectorist4 ай бұрын
Thank you very much. And that’s unfortunate about your site. I find there were many camps and portages between know sites. Many commonly used year after year. I also find seasonal camps, spring syrup camps and then fall harvest camps. So don’t be discouraged by one site being gone there must have been more activity in the area.

Im not familiar with a "striker". Can you explain what it is used for?

A striker was used for making fire. It was struck agains a flint to produce sparks. Thanks for asking.

Whats a striker?
@Eric_Detectorist4 ай бұрын
A striker is a tool used to make fire. You would strike it against flint and it would creat a spark. Very common trade item.
