Metal Detecting a Western Ghost Town Part 3: Colonial Gold!

This is the third instalment of our Outback adventure to a remote Western Ghost town. The three videos were filmed over a 4 day period and each day revealed more of the history of the old town. Find of the trip was a solid gold (22 carat) women's cygnet ring dating from the 1870-1880 period and stamped 'AUSTRALIAN GOLD'. The finds don't get much better than that!
All three videos will be rolled into a 'movie length' detecting marathon (if you can stand around 90 minutes of this) - coming soon. All finds with Garrett AT Max and 5 x 8" DD searchcoil.

Ring hole pile of dirt on side that came out pat to take a good ins of soil under pile itself as well plus 3ins in hole as well lol😂.

I got lucky once with a emerald ring vintage 3 Bay in sand it was deep took the 20 Lt bucket back home went to dollar shop got 2 honey strainers 4.00 bucks each went down full depth of bucket and diameter of bucket.3 last scoop boom green ice. Lol 😂. Like grand said one can get lucky 🍀. Merry Christmas to all best best of luck for 2025. God bless all our AUSSIES.
