That lamp is actually sand cast. It is a molding process that involves a reverse pattern squeezed in between two box molds packed with sand. The two halves are separated to create the cavity of the object you want to cast. It's put back together and then the molten metal is poured inside through a sprue.

Beautiful video and amazing finds as usual those hills are clearly filled with magic and gold. It looks like a wonderful place to visit sometime, the spike could of had many applications such as holding up a tent and the lamp well if not for oil the hole could of been for ventilation (the wall mount is concave maybe to catch ash) or maybe the hole was added later for wiring as you suggested Happy New Year I know that gold is in your future

Dear Saint, thanks for the kind words, as you might be seeing, I am not focusing my channel much more on gold findings, because that is a catalyst for greedy people and low quality viewers (--->skip skip skip, see the gold, dislike) Instead I am directing the channel on more beauty and adventure topics, always involving treasures and gold of course, but not as much as central topic as before. Just I don't get why KZbin pushed my videos so much down in impressions, is like it is telling me to stop, kicking me out of the circuit. I use time and resources with a huge disproportion in return views and almost zero revenues, that I am questioning myself if I should continue doing these videos.. We'll see what happens.. happy new year Saint!

Ciao, I'm new in the channel. We are planning to go metal detector to Italy tomorrow. How legal this is over there? And what should we do if find something? Merry Christmas by the way!

Hello, in Italy no metal detecting in natural reserves, including all national and regional parks. If found something historical go to a local museum (there is always a museum near you in Italy) or contact the "Sovrintendenza dei beni culturali" of the area you are in. But go to the local museum is my suggestion. Also if you can find the farmer before going onto his field and ask him permission is better. Good luck!

It's one of the coins issued by the senate under Traian, between 102 and 110 ad. It was distributed to the population as gift to buy food. One of the first money injections to boost the economy. I found these informations starting to google Traian coins, but also couldn't find a photo of a coin with the same pattern on the SC side. Would be cool to know! No Fabrizio ... no no no .... non usare l'olio d'oliva che adesso la moneta e bella ma col passare dei anni diventera nera e puzzolente. L'olio andra a male e cominciera a marcire e ti rovinera la moneta romana. Meglio usare cera d'api che in un certo senso crea una bariera protettiva la quale protegge la moneta dalla umidita. Comunque bel video come al solito. Ciao ...

Hello Mike, Is forbidden to sell the Roman Artifacts, In fact almost every coin that is for sale in Italy on Ebay is sold illegally and it is very sad. I have to hold on to this coin in case it is of national interest. I think that is also illegal to buy them, without knowing that the provenance is safe, and also is illegal to have them in your house, if they are of national interest. So definitely can't sell it :) I might sell only after that it has been seen by the Sovreintendenza dei beni Culturali, and they have no interest in keeping it. it is a long process and I am not sure about how it works. La Moneta e a disposizione e in bella mostra proprio perche se venissae notata e fosse di interesse storico, io sarei felice di donarla a qualche museo.. magari succedesse!
