One of many things I like about your channel is that you don't have a once-in-a-lifetime find every time out. You're like most of us. We enjoy the hunt and one every blue moon find something nice. Keep making the fun vids!

Totally agree w/ you, there's been many hunts where I've only found a few coins & 50 pieces of trash, I just love the hobby & if I find something good, all the better =)

Hehehe, no I sure don't. Not that I would complain of course! Hahaha! But yes, I show everything, even if it's only junk. The guys that find something amazing on EVERY hunt, good for them, but that's just not the typical scenario. Thanks for watching!

I really enjoy your metal detecting videos ,since I started this hobby myself last year and not able to travel far ,and probably never see an ocean beach again so I can live your adventures with you ,and watch with great anticipation when you get that good signal--and find that great bucket list treasure like that first ring you pulled from the water --and I saw your face for the first time,you were so excited and I as well--happy hunting and good luck,we will be watching for that next great signal !

Well thank you for watching! :) And welcome to the hobby! I'm sorry to hear you can't make it to the beach. :( But at least you can see it through my videos. :) Oh yes, finding something amazing is such a pleasure! Keep it up!Any day at the beach is a good day!! I spent four hours yesterday land hunting a 1920 something building that I have detected for the third time. I found more coins this trip due to the moisture in the soil from the recent rains. My detector was finding more/deeper coins than the previous two trips. Plug, plug, plug, SCORE! Persistence pays off in the end!

Oh yea? I'm not surprised. Especially over there. I think you're only allowed to hunt from the dunes to the water line, correct? But I think if you get a boat, and hunt at least 200 yards from shore, you're good to go. Need diving gear of course.

Back in the '80s I tried searching a NJ beach with a White's Model D Series II. Worked fine on dry sand, but over surf-wet sand the machine would go crazy and unusable. I knew it was the dissolved salt and I thought it could adjust for it. But it was way over-sensitive to gradients in saltiness. Never could figure it out.
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Oh really? Not surprising though. Most machines just can't handle it. :( To bad you couldn't figure out some settings that would make it work for you.

Unlucky with the finds She Detector, good luck in the new year, can I ask, you seem to be happy with the coil you have, is there a double d version of that coil, I think you may find it even better, if there was, as the double d coils are able to pinpoint the target better for you meaning smaller holes, and more time spent finding more stuff cos you'll be digging more holes too hopefully. Anyway all the best GL+HH
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Tell me about it. I don't know where all the rings went! :( Thanks, same to you! Well, the sand shark is hard wired. And I checked on Kellyco's website but didn't see any other coil options for it. @anselb20008 жыл бұрын
Just in case, I would check with the manufacturer and see if it is okay to coil up that lead the way it is in the video. I know on some detectors the instructions are NOT to do that and they have specific directions on how to coil the lead up the shaft.
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Oh really? I don't know why they would say not to coil it that way. With each machine I read the manual and so far none have said not to coil it that way. Some don't even say to wrap the cable around the shaft. Hahaha. I guess it's expected a person would know what to do with the cable.

Oh good! Well, I think most of the little things were maybe a scoop down. Yea. You'll never know what you're going to find. Sometimes I find lots of glass, eye balling them of course. But, to think that people are walking around barefoot with stuff like that laying on the ground if just crazy.
@scottfirman8 жыл бұрын
Someday I will get down there and stick my feet in that coral sand. We have the regular beach sand here that actually squeaks when you walk on it. I have to admit,we have the cleanest beaches around. Not in the city,I dont go near those. The people from down state come up and make it their own personal garbage dump. Bottles,pull tabs beer cans,its terrible. I go North about 30 miles to a beach no one but the locals go. I have hunted the public beaches in the water where the swim markers are. Thats where the silver rings and gold chains hang out. I may get a dry suit this year and a water detector,I used to borrow one but that ship sailed years ago. I worked with a metal detector dealer,he let me try out all his inventory including water detectors. He rented stuff too. Does the place you deal with rent? they should.
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Yes, you must. :) Oh squeaky sand huh? Cool! :) That's a shame that they do stuff like that. :( Out by the swim markers? I don't know that I could hunt out at our markers. I don't know how deep it is out there but I'm pretty sure sharks like hanging out by them :( I get all my toys from Kellyco but I don't think they rent anything.
@scottfirman8 жыл бұрын
She Detector Lol,I admit, thats something we dont have to worry ourselves over as far as sharks. Yes,those markers are like magnets for people. I found most of the rings I detected right around those markers or just beyond the markers. I have been to other beaches and never heard the sand talk to you like that. Its amazing. I had an airlines pilot tell me Michigan has the cleanest clearest nicest beaches he had ever been to in the world,and he being a pilot would know. I like talking to people when I detect,its a bad habit. In my defence I have gotten the history on some of my locations I never knew about. Michigan has some of thevoldest settlements in our nation,before the aunited States was even a country. I have heard of guys finding king George coins . Some are even on display at the fort at Mackinac Island. Soo Saint Marie Michigan has some of the first trading posts between the french and Indians. Old Mission, not far from us was settled long before the city I live in was even made.

Are you, Jed, the Hoover boys and stealth diggers doing collabs? Or all affiliated with kellyco?
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
No, I've not collab with any of them. I've working with The Man With The Hat and JD's Variety Channel. But I've never hunted with another youtuber. I'm not sure if they've hunted with each other. I work with Kellyco, just like several other hunters do. :)

You have to find those "cuts" and low spots in the surf. The gold is hiding there...
@SheDetector7 жыл бұрын
Oh yes! I always try to hunt those areas very well. Not much luck yet but one day I'll hit the sweet spot!

Typical of my finds, but you are out looking. I can't. It is -12c and everything is frozen, no digging. I'll just watch you till Spring.
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Hehehe, I'm guessing that's pretty cold? Hahaha. I'm sorry you're all frozen. I hope spring comes soon for you! :D

LIAR LOL it is all about your finds. I saw that iron coming out and thought SD will be happy she has some rusty stuff to clobber with a hammer. Now go sit in a corner until you admit it IS all about your finds. PS you haven't found any silver coins yet?
@SheDetector8 жыл бұрын
Lol! I am happy when I get to clobber stuff with a hammer. I've not been finding much to smash though :( Sadly, I've not found any silver coins yet. :( I don't know where they are hiding but they need to come out already! :)

I've been eyeing an Elementary school south of me. It was built in 1915ish and closed in the early 2000's. There's a fence around most of it but I looked on Google street view and the fence appears to be open. I'll drive by and see if I can access it and then of course check if I'm able to detect there. I don't want to get arrested. :(

Really? I'm sorry to hear that. What are you watching them through, cell phone, tablet, computer? Maybe try watching them from my Facebook page, I'm not sure if that will help or not.
