"you can pick the patches, but you dont get to pick what size the gold will be" well, actually... larger nuggets come from smaller veins, and smaller dusts come from larger veins, due to larger amounts of hydrological activity in larger veins, resulting in regular hydrological disturbances of vein during formation.. basically, where theres a lot of waterflow (gold lodes develop from a solution of heated, pressurized, sulfated water) the gold is finer, where there was slower waterflows and less geological activity, the gold dropping out of solution has longer to accumulate into bigger nuggets. long story short - find bigger nuggets near smaller veins. now, how to find smaller veins?
@TheNuggetMagnet
@TheNuggetMagnet 4 жыл бұрын
It certainly has been tossed about over the years with lots of broken bedrock, some may not even be patches but remnants of an old creek, but putting a bit of thought in is what keeps it interesting and keeps me guessing so cheers for the valuable input, great comment.

@@TheNuggetMagnet off-topic : i read on one of your other videos that you were concerned about your lack of uploads during lockdown maybe losing followers .. how about reviewing your detector? (if you've reviewed it already, im yet top watch that vid) sweeping techniques, etc? just a suggestion. something like a "how to" on sweeping technique (speed, height) would be good for beginners, and how you set up the detector on-site would be good for the more experienced. damn, imagine if everyone had the machine you have, there'd be nothing left out there :D

Gidday mate, glad you enjoy, not often, but finding leadshot still in the ground can be a great sign, sometimes l come across old camps which are full of rubbish, l tend to dodge them, sometimes l record rubbish but simply delete, its never all gold, l find gold most days but sometimes only .5 of a gram, again not worth videoing, but you never really know what you will come across out there and that's the carrot, cheers mate Russell.
