"Hear that? That's the sound of pennies." I don't know why but that made me laugh. :D I always like looking for money/jewelry when I get to go to the river or anywhere for that matter. I've found lots of good stuff just laying on the ground. It's always an exciting moment when you spot something.

Must have been a bunch of rolled pennies someone pitched. Creeks like this are soooo peaceful to wade in. I (used) to do this for miles. Not one sound except for that of nature. So peaceful. Found a lot of interesting items like you found too. Lots of old vintage glass but not too many complete bottles and when one does, they are usually scoured and scraped up by getting bounced around. Great way to find the edge of town dumps as, a lot of times, the town would dump their trash right up to the banks of the creeks. The old bottles would be sticking out of the sides of the creek banks in layers underneath the top layer of overhanging tree roots and this is a 'dead giveaway'. Also, a lot of the time, one side would be a lot higher up then the other, indicating that there was something dumped there and built up in layers in the distant past. Hey Nuggetnoggin, be careful of water mocassins and copperheads in places like this too. I think the water mocassins can swim and also dive underwater but I can't remember for sure. Also, be careful of wasps and yellow jackets as well as the horseflies and deerflies. MAN, do they bite hard! Also the ticks, poison ivy, and chiggers, lol and again, on a serious note, be careful of stepping on broken glass, sharp metal, slipping off of boulders and breaking an ankle or fracturing your skull or elbow, when trying to catch your balance as you go down.

It reminds me. When I was 12 years old, my little bro and I put on our hunting lights and headed into the storm tunnels. When we had gotten so far in that we couldn't see light, we started noticing all this change, buried in the silt at the pipe joints. We found over 100 silver Mercury Head dimes and Buffalo Head Nickels. AND THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL. Took 'em home and became coin collectors. Forward a year. We were at the local coin store and telling our story and it rang a bell, an alarm bell. Seven years prior the store had been broken into and among the articles taken: one bag of Mercury Head Dimes and one bag of Buffalo Head Nickels. They were thrown in the sewer tunnel about 400 yards up stream, rotted and released their treasure.

For clearing out cracks in bedrock a welders 'chipping hammer' works great, now you've cleaned it up of pennies go over it again and see if you've missed anything (silver is heavier than copper so won't move as much). Someone must have run out of pennies and thrown in a few dimes or quarters.

@HellaciousJK9 жыл бұрын
MrGerryodonothing your blatant attack on Christians is only proof that you believe. What you are doing is simply rebellion. Otherwise why would you waste your time fighting something you don't believe? I don't believe in Santa or the Easter bunny but I guarantee you don't see me goin around commenting on Christmas videos about how Santa isn't real (and trust me, plenty of wackos out there that believe he's real). Just sayin. If you don't believe, then why waste your time fighting it? Unless you do believe and you simply hate God, which is just dumb if you ask me. You know as well as anyone what fate is said to await those who deny Him. I guarantee you keep your cowardly God-hating comments behind the safety of your computer screen and don't outwardly attack Christianity. I see PLENTY of that behavior online, but NEVER in real life. Because you're all cowards, plain and simple. I meet plenty of atheists, but none have the balls to blatantly disrespect my (AND THEIR) God to my face. In summary, you are a dumb coward in denial of that which you KNOW in your heart of hearts to be truth. Good luck with your non-life and your shitty afterlife. I'd hate to be you lol If you lived in a castle, owned 100 high end European sports cars, were married to a slew of super models and didn't have to work a day for the rest of your life, I'd hate to be you.
@MrGerryodonothing9 жыл бұрын
HellaciousJK I actually don't know "what fate is said to await those who deny Him" but I really would like to know who said it. I don't fight it. I just watch believers everyday trust in that bullshit before they trust themselves and then complain about their lot; that makes me wonder what they could achieve if they just put their FAITH in themselves. I'm not even angry about it but if you like it that's fine by me but don't fall into that old holier than thou motto where you think you have the divine right to name call. I have the opinion that Christendom is dumb and you haven't, what's the big deal?

enjoy your videos. You have grown up over the years on KZbin. Didn't see your name and didn't recognize your voice and then you used the term Stinkin Lincoln. Hey that's nuggetnoggin! People like to throw their change off of bridges as they drive over. The sluicing effect is why you find them accumulated in the bedrock crevices. Especially the copper which is heavier. If you were to check, people also like to throw their change at road signs. In the immediate areas you will find lots of spare change. Keep up the good work. Enjoy the vids.
