Hey , just went metal detecting for the first time , do u have any tips or tricks to find coins in genral and other cool things rather than bottle caps and wire mesh things in southend? What would be the best place to metal detect so like chalkwall or southend or old leigh? Oh any tips to find old coins mainly pre 1970? It would really help out!

Hello mate As for finding coins rather than bottle caps, it is just a case of getting to know your machine and learning the different tones. As for older coins, they are usually found out on the wet sand when the tide is out. Happy hunting
