Great video once again. Much respect for you connecting the family through maps and graves. That’s what enjoying history is all about. At least for me. I also enjoy connecting old family farms to there descendants. It’s truly rewarding. Thanks again ,,, from way down. Southwest Tennessee 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

There is a real person with a hard live connected to everyone of these coins and relics. I try to get to know who they were and when they passed. Thanks for watching.

Not a farm field find. I find most of the stuff in the best condition is in a location never plowed. Thanks!

Early in the video you found an item that had what appears to be an acorn on it. Not long ago a friend hunting in the northeast found something similar and it was tied into the civil war.

Interesting! I thought it was earlier based on the site I found it but it's still an open question. Thanks for watching!

Could you please explain why people threw away belt buckles and thimbles !!!! And how did they lose coins !!!!???? Big holes in their pockets or did they throw them away !!!!???? Do you recycle the scrap metal you find !!!!????

Hey Ken, The way I think about it when these items were lost, I think about it getting dark at 4:30 with a foot of snow on the ground for 3 months a year here in Vermont. No flashlights, no metal detectors, 10 degrees above zero. You'd die looking for anything that fell out of your pocket! Thanks for watching!!

Additionally, fabric and thread were not as today, clothing was often worn until "threadbare", repaired in field with... thimble, physical labor everyday all day, pocket design, button design, sincere winters as previously stated, uncut lawns, horse transportation, a real world. Without supermarkets, running water, auto, oil delivery, electricity, etc etc. Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create soft men. Soft men create hard times. Which will befall upon us in short order. "History does not repeat itself, it rhymes" - Mark Twain
