Hotter than Hell STILL is getting played, Ive been at 2 different bars in the last year & have heard that on the Jukebox , I was like HElll Yeah!!

Hotter than Hell is my favorite of the 70's albums. It's so heavy and raw. I love how sludgy and dirty it sounds. It has a very Sabbath-like feel to it. It's also sighted as being a grunge influencer.

I'm pretty sure Strange Ways created grunge...

I love seeing my idols (Benante and Portnoy) nerding out over KISS, the same way I nerd out and listen to, their music, as well as KISS's music.

Alive 2 was the first KISS album i bought, in '79. I was 13yo. My fave KISS album is Creatures Of The Night. I have to say that i actually love The Elder, and always have! I actually got interested in drums/drumming by the wonderful Mick Tucker (RIP) of (The) Sweet when i was 6yo, and then when i first heard KISS in '77, at 11yo, that was it - i became a total KISS freak, and Peter Criss reignited my desire to want to learn to play again, and although i didn't hit my first drum until i was 17yo (late '83) and had started to also get into other drummers/bands by that point, i will forever attribute my love of all things drums to Mick and Peter, and i thank them heartily for that! I could witter-on about my 'KISS journey' all night, but i won't bore people. Lol! I so enjoyed this post! So, thanks, and keep rockin' Guys... \m/ (:o)

I'm live in Honolulu Hawaii, 50 yrs old...been a lifelong fan!!! Got my first album at the ripe old age of 7yrs old(1976)...Hotter than Hell!!! To this day., its my favorite from them! I finally got to see them for the first time ever...I flew out to Oakland for "The End of the Road" show at the Oracle...right before the Corona got bad! It was bitter sweet for me...never got to see the original lineup....BUT...it was a night ill never forget!

Dynasty was my very first "rock, metal" album, I was 10. I love that album, how Gene play bass is fantastic, 2000 Men and Hard Times from Ace, just WOW, Dirty Livin with Peter on lead vocal, beautiful! and Paul with Magic Touch. I was lucky to saw them 3 times. Twice with the original line up in LA 1994 and Italy and Budapest, Sonic boom World tour.

KISS was the epicenter from which my childhood revolved. They dominated my thoughts. Aside from the countless hours I spent listening to KISS, I would go to bed thinking about KISS. I would wake up thinking about KISS. I would DREAM about KISS. I would draw KISS on my folders at school. The conversations between me and friends largely revolved around KISS. Every spare dime I had was spent on buying KISS albums or other KISS merch. I was completely obsessed with KISS from 76-79. Then Unmasked came out and...well...

This is fantastic, I really wanted to jump into this conversation so many times. Definitely going to listen to the first three albums - in order, tonight. I’m 42 years old and didn’t really become a fan until about 1993 or 1994. Ironically, I heard Anthrax’s version of “Parasite” before I knew most KISS songs.

Kiss, bought the first Kiss album in 1974..... I used to buy these comic book LPs in the early 70’s. I saw the first Kiss album and bought it thinking it was a comic book record. Changed my life...... my favorite out of the first three albums is Hotter Than Hell.

Hotter Than Hell is an awesome album. The early metal years. Strangeways maybe the heaviest song they ever wrote.Ace’s guitar tone is a monster on that song. Remember people, Kiss didn’t have a fan club, they had an Army...

Unfortunately Hotter Than Hell can never be remixed because the masters basically turned to dust according to Robert Conte on 3 Sides Of The Coin ep. 207. He got insane access to the vaults. Also, it was recorded on lesser quality tape. There's a trade ad you can find for the tape featuring Hotter Than Hell.
