Both colors reminded me of old-school motorcycle helmets. The second attempt was a winner.

Looks good, I believe flake in a can is .02 or .04 micro flake in order for it to come out of that nozzle. This would work for small model cars. Sucks it didn’t come out the way you planned .

Nice work Matt. Second times definitely a keeper.

I've used the spray can trigger attachments for other things I've sprayed around the house. I'm no painter, but they have helped me avoid getting those little drips when I spray. They're only a few bucks, and they help keep my old trigger finger from hurting when I spray something. Might be worth a try? I'm a wire monkey, not a painter, but I like them. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result. All the best to you, Angel, and Jim.

That looks like a Pagon Gold Color. I really like it. Just think , you could let it cure out good sand it and put a different color candy over the top . It would get closer to match the burgundy.

I do this kind of thing with guitars, I’ve found that the “Rustoleum Glitter” works really well, and costs a whole lot less.

Here's a trick I use when burying flake. Instead of tryin to get the entire can on, spray 3 coats and stick the activated can of SprayMax in the fridge. This way you slow down the catilyzation, and the next day you can cut back with 800 and apply the rest of the 2K. The only problem is you have to be careful and not start cutting the tops of the flake because then you'll end up with silver spots. This is where the candy comes into play if you cut into those proud flake pieces and end up with a bunch of silver dots.

I love the final color. Where did you find that paint?

Definitely the second try looks the best to me and will help with your eye not being drawn to the height of the roof line, I liked the gold color before the candy but it would have made the roof line height look taller…..if that makes any sense but in my noggin …. Fooling the eye with color . Shawn

When i was tryign to paint that fridge a few years back, that orange version of the gold you got, was exactly what i was going for vs. the greenish version of gold that i ended up with... did you put "3 FULL WET COATS" of candy? lol fun video, enjoyed it

Could have wet sanded the Candy layer to thin the color back a bit?
@SYFGARAGE Жыл бұрын
Would be really hard to sand down evenly, but I didn’t care for the candy at all anyway.
