So If you understand Big Boss awarded Venom Snake with both his identity and Martyr. why? Because no one did for Big Boss what the medic (Venom Snake) did for Big Boss in MGSV!

And unfortunately, he died for a future Big Boss realized he didn't want anymore when he reassessed what The Boss wanted for the world, a world that wasn't obsessed with changing and fighting itself, for order or for freedom, a world that could never be because strife and conflict are inherent to life, if not for resources, then for ideology. And so it came to Big Boss' phantom, the one he made to resemble his new self twisted by grief, and his doppelgänger, one intended to replace him by his enemies and yet became a better person than him, one who had the courage and will to hold onto his virtues despite all he suffered.

It would be the second of Big Boss' kids he'd be saying it to. Ironic that Big Boss and Venom are both shown as being ambivalent to the kids Big Boss had without his consent, kids made to be the tools of their enemy, yet at different points show deep care for them, Venom briefly appearing anguished when it seems Eli was dead before sarcastically demeaning Eli blaming him and not himself for his situation, while Big Boss respects Snake "as a soldier and as a man" while also trying to deceive and kill him in frustration when he opposed his plans to make a world of conflict where soldiers always have purpose. But as much they may despise what David and Eli are, David ultimately became a better person than all of them, even though he was indirectly raised by the Patriots to be their weapon against Big Boss just as Eli was raised to be a weapon against the Patriots and Solidus became a puppet ruler for the Patriots before he broke free and tried to emulate his father.
@everton084 күн бұрын
In this context, this sentence doesn't make sense at all. Snake wasn't "blaming" Venom for a damn thing right here, so he had no reason to say that 😂😂
@callmev35314 күн бұрын
@ , 26:10, Snake straight up calls him a "bastard" and goes on to accuse him of manipulating and betraying not only him, but there country. So yes, Snake is "blaming" him, and Venom mocks him for it since Snake doesn't understand the situation, that he's just a Patriot pawn in all this and that Venom and the real Big Boss have been fighting them for years.

Giving Dirty Duck such a ruthless background was so cool. I really loved how there's a dialog with Jennifer and her brother, that was another great added scene. "Shut KZbin down!" Greatest thing ever to do that 🫡 The confrontation between Venom and Snake was so cool to see. Probably one of most important dialogs that we can only imagine, and this recreates it perfectly. Using MGSV's scenes to give Venom that spotlight he deserves, just spectacular. Keeping his prosthetic arm a secret in the fight was so cool, and exciting. That's the canon explanation too. It's unclear if the Big Boss defeated in MG1 and the Big Boss over the radio are the same or if Venom was just the guy who did the final fight while Big Boss was off site doing his role over the radio. Also can you imagine how annoyed Liquid Ocelot would be if it turned the "Big Boss" body he steals in the Europe chapter of MGS4 was actually Venom. He's surrounded by NATO forces and is all "why isn't SoP under my control?" And then remembers Venom was a thing and he f**ked up.

What a ride! It was a treat to experience the game in this cinematic fashion. Snake as a rookie is quite different from his hardened MGS self, closer to the mythologized ideal Meryl had of him. Venom did what he believed was right to oppose the universal control of the Patriots, losing sight of the lives affected in the struggle. Truly a beautifully tragic tale. o7
@TheLoresmith2 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment, it is truly a tragic tale, nobody comes out of this mission any better, no winners, everybody loses! Snakes first mission and venom’s last. Snake not being able to follow through on his promise and effectively going through with his own version of ‘snake Eater’ being used by both sides. The only reason NATO didn’t go ahead with the bombing run beforehand was because of the very real nuclear threat of metal gear, but as soon as they had confirmation of its destruction, there was nothing stopping them from wiping everything out. Snake was set up to fail if he succeeded or not. Venom initially understanding what bb and later what the boss fought for after everything he went through in pw and pp but still having no choice but to fight against the patriots regardless. Many other nuances to mention! Like who is the bad guy here? 😂

One idea I had for the ending: It’d be cool for it to mirror some aspects of MGS3. Solid Snake approaches Venom’s broken body, and Venom encourages him to kill him because “one must die and one must live,” a recreation of Big Boss and The Boss. But unlike his “father,” Solid refuses to shoot, saying “The world would be a better place if people could just put the gun down.” Venom then speaks. He doesn’t fully reveal his identity of course, but somewhat confesses it, saying he used to be one of MSF’s top medics, that he had dreams of eventually retiring from military life altogether to become a civilian doctor, but then he “got roped into all this bs.” Solid ponders this slight revelation, never knowing “Big Boss” was a medic at one point, but is forced to flee when the Metal Gear hangar starts collapsing. Then when he starts the long ladder climb to the surface, “Here’s To You” plays.
@Tallahassee212 ай бұрын
Saying he got "roped into all that bs" implies venom snake didn't believe in big boss, but he was loyal to the end.
@morsecode9802 ай бұрын
@@Tallahassee21There’s a theory that Intrude N312 and 13 were both Big Boss sending his best agents to assassinate Venom after he went rogue (possibly as a result of nanomachine injections to help with a surgery to remove his shrapnel horn,) in order to take over Outer Heaven for himself. Gray Fox and Solid Snake were supposed to “report false information” by not finding any proof that the fortress had a Metal Gear or the means to create nuclear weapons, throwing The Patriots off their scent. But Solid “went too far” by discovering the opposite was the case and destroying Metal Gear. As well, the theory suggests Venom Snake didn’t pretend to be Big Boss in 1995 out of camaraderie; it was because he hated him for using him, and wanted to have revenge by destroying his reputation.
@Tallahassee212 ай бұрын
@@morsecode980 interesting 🤔 I haven't heard of that one yet. What official evidence leads people to think that?
@morsecode9802 ай бұрын
@@Tallahassee21It’s a lot of speculation, mainly based on the lack of official evidence one way or the other. All we know for certain is that Venom Snake was pretending to be Big Boss leading Outer Heaven in ‘95, and the uprising was (presumably) against the Patriots. The few tidbits that point toward it are how strange it is for BB to send agents to infiltrate his own fortress, and Venom punching the mirror when he learns the truth - more specifically, that that scene ACTUALLY happens in ‘95, NOT ‘84, since the DD logo behind him changes to OH when he does it, and you can hear distant gunshots. It happening at that time, and him being presumably angry about the tape when he does it, makes it a slight possibility that he realized in that bathroom he was played by his former commander - he was just another Skull Face. I do realize he still has the horn and brown hair rather than no horn and grey hair even after that, but that could be retconned.

I think due to ocelot and major zero plan to implant memories in a man who isn’t big boss and then do plastic surgery to make him look like him it’s doomed to fail. The mind is a very fragile thing and complex no matter how much control they thought they had at some point the mind breaks and venom realized that his memories are not his! It’s just sadder that it takes kaz a while to realize it or he finally gets the idea of the truth and becomes pissed at venom and the real big boss over everything that happened! When the real big boss didn’t know until later on after being in a coma for so long and being tested on to make solid snake and liquid and solidus without his consent!

Flash forward to mgs4 and snake finally understands what Venom meant, i really loved this part of the metal gear saga, the subtly at conveying that Solid Snake is the lesser evil, choosing to maintain the status quo of the patriots his entire life/career, until it Sunny makes it collapse on itself. Old Snake : I ...No, we ripped the world apart, made your life a living hell. -MGS4, Snake realizing that by saving the day he doomed too many

Thanks for creating this mini-series. I liked the voice you gave Diana, and the epilogue that wrapped things up in a nice way for Venom Snake. See you again for the next project.

Its going to be insane when ai is advanced enough to have the still frames animated in motion were pretty much going to have a legit animated mgs series. The writing in this was awesome hearing kiefer and hayters voice confronting eachother

For those wondering why Vemon was so skilled being Big Boss. Well here is the cannon explanation for why he was so good. MGS3 is actually a dream, the first Gen or use of virtual reality to train a solider to believing he’s Big Boss. This time under hypnosis and suggestion. They would later stream line it and instead of using the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater. They used Shadow Mosses. Which was used to train Raiden. They of course cuts most of the disassociation identity issues. Most though not all considering Raiden didn’t remember his past as a child solider.

The history and ultimate fate of Venom Snake is really gut-wrenching bruh. Not even remembered by anyone after Big Boss later passes at the end of MGS4. I personally like to think someone may have saved and/or discovered those audio tapes from Ground Zeroes and MGSV. Hal Emmerich, Raiden, etc. Though I could certainly see Ocelot having backed up and exposed them to the public and key figures before his own despise. One last screw over to those covering it up lol.

Did big boss really care for his soldiers in the end? After what he did to venom 🤔 because I mean that’s messed up, you’re right, no one’s gonna remember the phantom of big boss.

This video was simply marvelous and brought tears to my eyes cause of taking an old story and bringing it to life too bad during my childhood I didn’t have that game on pc I’d probably never would of put it down for sure! But however I had the blessing chance to play metal gear 2 on Nintendo entertainment system in the 80s and can’t wait til you bring that series to life! I hope an anime manager from a company sees this video and contact you! You got mad super talent sir and thanks for making this old guy in his late 40s go back in time to my childhood days of great gaming memories and nostalgia for sure! Big boss legacy lives on in solid snake and liquid as crazy as it sounds.

I'm only halfway through but I just gotta stop and say how 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 this is. How well crafted the storytelling is. The music, the dialogue, it's all so compelling. And the use of MGSV cinematic tidbits?? With V?? And the seamless voiceover with Kiefer's actual voice and the similar ai voice you use? Holy cow. Really, you have outdone yourself. Okay I have to finish the rest of this later but I just needed to say all of this while I'm still affected. While my heart still beats fast in anticipation. Really, amazing work!!

I really appreciate the kind words 🙏, As a fan, I really wanted fill in the gap in the series and add to the lore and canon while taking into consideration the retcons with Venom and whatnot. And then hope the people accept it! 😅 Or at least to maybe see this is as potential for what could be if there ever were to be an official remake 🤷♂️
😂 maybe I should have put that song in that scene, the whole song.

This hits so much different now that we've seen the perspective of both Big Boss and Venom Snake throughout the series. At first we thought Solid Snake was doing the right thing in taking down the big bad, but now it's not as clear. Clearly Snake was being used by the higher ups (The Patriots) to take care of a mess, and now that he succeeded, everyone else paid the price for it. All the allies Snake made in the resistance are either missing or possibly dead. His CO betraying him for a cause he believed in, and his own country covering up this whole thing, causing Snake to question everything that he initially believed in. Now we have context. Was Snake truly the hero? Yes he did good, but at the same time he unknowingly brought the whole entire place to it's doom, or least played a part in it's destruction. No wonder why Snake was pretty much done after the events of Metal Gear 2. Superb story telling. This was a love letter to all Metal Gear fans. Well done!
@TheLoresmith2 ай бұрын
exactly, things are much more interesting with the added context of the prequels and sequels. It's like who exactly are the good guys and who are the bad guys. by the time mgs1 comes along snake is more of an experienced, confident but quiet and cynical character. For a lot of fans, me included, mgs1 was the first introduction of snake as a character, and a common criticism I read was that he "lacked humanity" as compared to big boss who was portrayed to be more emotive. but when you take into consideration the events of the two original games, suffering with survivor's guilt, betrayal, PTSD etc you start to understand why he is the way he is in mgs1 which in a way in a way adds to his humanity, he became guarded. It's also interesting seeing how snake deals with the traumas he suffers throughout the series compared to how big boss dealt with his, they both chose very different paths which further separates them as characters (along with the other snakes). but anyway, thanks for watching 🫡

After after watching the scene for second time, I’ve come to think that the climatic confrontation between David and Venom is pretty near perfect. I really like how you gave his own version of big bosses speech from MG2, Distinguishing the two of them based on the divergent experiences and acknowledging the various elements of the MGS story that would be Retoned by implication into the original MX games. The fight itself is very well portrayed and you clearly used all the skills you have learned in creating AI anime is nothing short of engrossing. And the fact that it all feeds into the last day of Outer Heaven is the cherry on the cake. That animation is practically considered Canon by the MGS fandom and that combined with this series feels like a great stand-off to venom in the absence of a metal gear/metal gear 2 remake. Just fantastic work overall.

I was thinking about the Last Day in Outer Heaven briefly when Venom was injured on the ground. What a treat to see it at the end. This whole series has been spectacular. Loved the confrontation between Venom and Snake. The characterization was outstanding. We need a proper remaster of these classic games once MGS3 releases (as lofty of a dream that may be). However, this series to me is an excellent stand in and serves that role. Don’t know what else to say without writing a whole essay. Fantastic as always. Thank you for the amazing content so far. Looking forward to what’s to come.

Thank you! 🫡 now with the retcons and prequels, this entry in the series is quite pivotal imo. It's the literal beginning of Snake's saga and the end of venom's. So the aim was to add a bit more context, substance and characterisation to the series with these eps. thanks again for watching! 🙏
