Awesome retrospective, my man. I finally got around to playing it a few days ago because I've always wanted to try it out since I never got to when I was younger. It's so over the top and completely unlike every other Metal Gear game, and in a way it's kind of refreshing considering they pulled it off so well. And Christopherson's OST is something out of this world (still can't believe that's the same guy that made the ToonTown soundtrack). I hope you continue to make videos, bro. This one was great.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means more than you know! I've actually been really thinking about it lately as the channel hasn't necessarily gotten as much traction as I would've liked. The game itself is pretty cool for sure, it's probably not something I'm crazy about but I can definitely appreciate a lot about it, the music being one of them!

The reason why I buyed the game can be explained in a few simple sentences: The soundtrack. The memes. The bosses. The fan videos, like Sam Job Trilogy ir Wheelchair Sam. The community. I am a fan of the game, without ever playing it

I'm actually not familiar with the memes unfortunately but the game is pretty fun as long as you don't take it too seriously I think, if you have time you could totally check it out

Great review! This is definitely one of Platinum's better games. Totally agree that the motion blur/smear makes it more difficult to place these date. Would love to see it remade, or at least remastered.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of motion blur in general, I think a remake could be interesting but this game was hard for me lol

I do indeed, and as much as I try to be positive; it's just honestly how I feel. I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad game or anything like that, I actually think there's a lot of good things about the game but I still do have complaints. I'm guessing you enjoy the game a lot?

@@dox_plays but you need to consider when the game was made. At 2013, this game is still better than newer games that's been made today. I can't imagine if it was made with a much better technology today. I mean, Platinum games is not a joke when it comes to action games. And yeah I enjoy it, a lot of people can say that too

I'm not bagging the game out and I can respect anyone who enjoys it, I know Platinum has a lot of fans. I respect that. But again, I'm just being honest with my own opinion and how it feels to play today in 2024 for the first time.
