Which reminds me, this mission is harder than the final VR Mission in the DLC (DL-VR 30). Most enemies here can kill you in a single attack, while in DL-VR 30, they don't (if not, rarely).

I spent 5 hours on that mission alone. Here's a guide: The dwarf gekko will randomly rush toward you at the very start. If he don't. Restart. Block his dash by mashing guard. Then slice him once so he drop an energy pack (do not use Zandatdu) finish off the dwarf gekko by running + light attack and kill them with blade mode. 2nd part is not as luck dependent. Before the two big ennemies shows up. Go toward the right side of the room. If you're placed correctly. Both of them will latch on the nearby wall and drop down on you. The attack is even easier to parry than the drop kick so it's consistent. If you're lucky. You might even counter attack both at the same time. Which wîll kill one of them while you perform a finishing move on the other. In case you didn't finish off both. Repeat the same strategy by running away from him and wait for the big guy to latch on to the wall. Third wave is exactly what you need to do in the video. It's not consistent but it's doable after a lot of practice and trial in error. I have no real tips against the wolf UG aside running away from him as much as you can until you can counterattack his dash. The hardest part most definitely. 4th part is the easiest. Just don't let your nerves get the best of you. You have a small windows of leniency when he spawn and after he get stunned. So do not panic and keep mashing square while locked in and using the sai once he's unstunned.

one thing i'd point out. if you step to the right a little bit (you'd look somewhere between the gekko and the tripod to the left of it. don't ninja run, just walk (fully tilt the analog stick). the Gekko then will begin to charge at you over 75% of the time. if he doesn't, just reset

Notes for the people still suffering on this: for the gekko, you can bait the charge, and bait the foot slam, but if it goes for a pin, let it hit you. Countering the pin gives you free damage while killing every dwarf gekko around you essentially for free. Uf it does a jump attack, that's also a free hit. for the Mastiffs, go into a corner opposite where they spawn. They will both do a 2 part jump slam, which is easy to parry and has a chance of stunning and instantly killing both in one riposte. For the wolf, the sai makes extremely short work of him - but you always want to stick close. Nothing ended my runs more than the wolf deciding to pull that undodgeable volley of blaster spam out of his ass at long range. Good luck!

Finally, after 3 to 4 years of ranting over this VR Mission, I was able to clear it in 4:19.55 I even attempted to slide one heavy cyborg in wave 3 and luckily stunned and executed (Triangle+Circle) him and Zandatsu'd the other after the Wolf stunned him. Then attacked and cornered the wolf with the polearm

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH TO PEOPLE >>>>>>>>>>> GO ON LEVEL 19 AND PRACTICE PERFECT PARRYING THE WOLF RIGHT AT THE START FOR HALF AN HOUR OR SO. AFTER THAT YOU WILL EASILY BE ABLE TO PARRY THE WOLF IN LEVEL 18 THROUGH PRACTICE AND MUSCLE MEMORY. You could also use the Gekko's Cable attack to take out the Dwarf Gekko's like a giant wreaking ball.

That QTE could deal a massive damage but doesn't kill off the bat. Once the Gekko uses that and gets me, I simply restart

3:52 my best time, the grad is the easiest to parry and kill. Just stick to him like glue to avoid his guided missiles, parry until you get to the blade mode part after he’s down use pincer blades. 3 to 4 hits will do him in.

I did eventually manage to get to the last enemy and was stun locking him just like in the video. He was done for. I was going to win AND THEN..... my screen went black and I was kicked back to the xbox home screen so I had to do it again. The anger and rage I felt would probably have been enough to power a nuclear reactor. I did eventually manage to 100% the whole game and the dlc and I'm SO glad it's over with

Here's how I did 1st wave - Pause the game then memorize the right side for the next wave. Resume the game then attack the Dwarves with the Polearm until the Gekko triggers the charge QTE then parry or you can run close to him and lure him for a perfect parry. Another strategy not seen in the video is when the Gekko will use his cable attack. Simply wiggle the L3 button then Raiden will swing the Gekko and quickly eliminate the Dwarves (avoid this as much as possible to save time as it will not kill the Gekko off the bat). The single foot stomp is explained in the video. 2nd wave - Pause the game again and memorize the right side for Wave 3 then resume. For the 2 Mastiffs, stay in ONE CORNER and make sure Raiden is BEHIND the Mastiffs' target once they use the dive attack. When timed right, Execute (Triangle+Circle) a Perfect Parry. This will make Raiden swing the Mastiff and whack the other for a faster kill if lucky. Otherwise, the 2nd Mastiff will dodge while Executing the 1st. 3rd Wave - This is already explained in the video. However, once it spawns, quickly run to the right side as usually the Fenrir will start using the Heat Knives to kill the Buzz Lightyears (Heavy Armed Cyborgs). If possible, you can Zandatsu one of them to restore your health then focus on the Fenrir (Wolf) and kill the Dwarves at the same time. Corner the Wolf and do not come near the Dwarf Gekkos as they will grab you giving the Fenrir an advantage to kill you instantly. You can even Perfect Parry the Fenrir once he prepares the mid-air launch. Also, be mindful of the Wolf's laser attack. This is a dangerous move as you will require jumping to dodge it until the Wolf falls asleep. This can be interrupted by approaching the Wolf/Fenrir while charging. Once there are about 3-5 Dwarves left, switch to the Sai and attack the remaining Dwarves with the sword and make sure your blade mode meter is full. 4th Wave - The last 2 waves will be easier. Three Dwarves will spawn and immediately kill them with Blade Mode. (NOTE: Your Blade Mode meter should be full to do this. Otherwise, attack with the sword) 5th and Final Wave - You know what to do here. The video says it all on how to kill the GRAD safely.

Don't get flustered about the third wave you have to be lucky for the two heavy kills by dog and if it feels impossible you are parrying to slow, from practice all day you get so good at parrying from this mission you are doing something wrong. Keep trying BOYS.

I followed this video's strategy of memorizing the right side of Raiden's current location with the difference in the 2nd wave wherein I have to stay in one corner to easily perfect parry the Mastiff to execute the big swing and if lucky, hit or even kill the other Mastiff

To whoever it may concern, this was my best strategy in regards to beating this VR mission: 1. I use the pincer blades for most of the encounters. In the first wave jump into the air and do the spinning attack with the pincers killing almost all of the dwarf geckos most times, if you are lucky enough, the gecko will charge you in which you simply parry and finish it off. 2. Much like the video, counterattack the drop kick from both gorilla UG’s. And for those who don’t know, the way you counterattack is by parrying whatever attack is being thrown at you at the very last possible second. And much like the wave before, use the aerial swinging pincer attack to finish off remaining dwarf geckos. 3. Once again, pretty much follow the tutorial in the video to deal with the two heavy cyborgs and cyborg dog, I didn’t do much differently. 4. Mind the redundancy, for the last phase I believe the video has the best strategy for dealing with the GRAD.

The quickest way to KILL THE WOLF is to parry him when he does either the lunge attack (with the 4 red streaks of light) or when he does the spinning/drill move (which seems a lot harder to parry or block). If you get the 2 button prompt to kill it - about 90% of the time you won't even have to do it since it should die after that (rarely will it survive the parry - but it's not impossible).

I actually used sai vs the damn dog. Whenever it was charging the cannon I just Y to him with charged sai. Helped a lot, just mind the heavies cause they can rekt you during flight animation.

The pole is also effective against the wolf, just trap him in one corner. Using the sai against the wolf is also okay for stunning him, but your worst enemies are the surrounding Dwarf Gekkos that might trigger a QTE once it grabs you

The 3rd wave method doesn't work. Not only does the wolf not usually do that opening attack, but when he does it does not damage the other enemies. It goes right through them and hits me. The problem is that attack with the cannon the wolf does, is there's no way to dodge or block it, and there is no cover. Whoever designed that in this game deserves to die.

Can I just say really quick that I have NO idea how you did this? Because honestly, I like to think I'm not terrible at this, but this fucking mission is just completely impossible. Like, every single attack instant kills you, the Fenrir's railgun is impossible to avoid if he fires off those five or six shot bursts, the hammer men cannot be killed unless you play the AI slot machine and hope the Fenrir fires off two knives in places where you can make them hit them, IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE. FUCK.
