I think AI works so well with horror because the uncanny valley becomes a feature, not a bug.

There's less of an "uncanny valley" here and more of just a unified aesthetic that you can tell is not totally "real". The surreal or fantastical shots in this work because the artwork itself is stylized. "Uncanny Valley" explicitly refers to something being offputting; none of this particularly is. It's all totally within the confines of its theme.

Now what would be unmatched if there was a way to create an entire short film using whatever program you use scene by scene. Then integrating AI voiceovers to what you interpret each character was saying. I know that would be super time consuming considering the extensive editing and sound design work.
