yup I was so hyped I bought used ps3 in my local pawn shop, I have collected some money from christmas, easter and stuff and then I begged my mom like a whole month for it and they finally gave me the remaining part of funds I needed to buy the console and used mgs3 from 2nd hand game store... what a time to be alive it was :D

I remember this so vividly. The first MGS4 trailer they published that showed anything about the game. I remember how bleak and desperate it looked with Snake appearing like he was on his last legs. And the speculation about the plot.

They ran this using 2 GTX 7800 Ultra GPUs. Kojima then learned the actual power of the PS3 and had to scale down the graphics and performance dramatically.

Yeah, for sure, the 2005 trailer had better graphics than the actual game cutscenes but someone on KZbin said no it's not and I got into a heated argument with that fool. lol. I always knew I was right about the 2005 trailer having better graphics than the finished product.

@@thehumanmistery 0:39, you can see Snake behind the pillar and then he runs behind a wall. The POV soldier spots and follows but for POV soldiers surprise, he isn't there where he thought Snake would be. Thus Snake gets his sneak attack.

Nah. The MGS2 E3 2000 trailer was god tier! At the time the trailer launched, the PS2 still hadn't been released, we were still in the PS1 era (at the tail end of) and no one had ever seen a trailer like it! It blew our minds. I must have watched that trailer like a hundred times‼️

I still hope Konami will launch a remake, especially now that they’ve announced the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater :). Since it seems Konami has decided to start with the first episode chronologically, it might take several years before we see remakes of the other main MGS games.
