I have been far removed from contemporary hip hop and rap for years. I’m a GenXer and I still carry Dr. Dre, Snoop, NWA, Beastie Boys, and Eve in my heart. Hotline Bling was an ear worm, but I wasn’t a fan or listened to Drake. I might have heard of Kendrick, but I don’t remember hearing any particular song of his. Since the Kendrick/Drake beef was becoming actual news I took the time to give the songs a listen. Wow 🤯🤯🤯 Kendrick has me excited about rap again! The music and beats are addictive. I’m with dude when he said it was making him want to move. Love Kendrick’s cadence and how he is able to effectively emote. I hear the sarcasm and anger in his voice. I like when people sing or rap with emotion. When Kendrick started doing a Canadian accent in Euphoria I about died. “He don’t know nothin’ bout that” had to cut Drake. It almost made me feel bad for him. Drake’s comebacks were weak. He said Kendrick’s woman is taller than Kendrick. It’s like, Drake, you just admitted that Kendrick is secure as fuuuuuuuck about himself and made yourself sound insecure. You complimented him and put yourself down on your own diss song about him 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

The more you peel back the layers, every line has so many different jokes, insults, & symbolisms layered within, it’s wild. Everything he does has so much meaning behind it. Also, I did not realize that image of Drake’s mansion with the red dots on it is what the sex offender registry app looks like when there’s registered offenders in your neighborhood. 😳☠️

Also, Drake can’t ever use minor chords in his music again 🤣

All metalheads have one thing in common, we love passionate music. I don't like "hip hop," I like Kendrick Lamar's "music," just as much as NF and Immortal Technique etc. 🤘🏾

Looking through the reaction videos to this song I found your video. I appreciate your review, especially in the context of music from the early 90’s. Great job 👏🏾
