I think everyone kinda missed what this really seems to be for Architects. This whole album seems to me to just be a full opening up of emotion. It’s not them trying to be heavy and dark in each track. This seems to just be them opening up and letting their hearts out, particularly since this is the first album since Holy Hell, their chapter of mourning for Tom. This is really the start of a new chapter. It’s a heartfelt call.

Beautiful words about a beautiful album. Especially in times like these I personally am very thankful about a piece of music that immerses me into a full range of emotional intimacy and makes me feel less alone with all that's going on. Not everyone gets this from an album like FTTWTE but I love that they found a kind of new emotional approach in this and did what they thought was right and it is right for them and for a lot of people, but of course not for everyone. Thanks for your words on the album, stay safe! 🖤
@sarcasm43713 жыл бұрын
I mean sure. But the style that they did well were the softer songs on Daybreaker. The ones where Sam's voice was the primary instrument that conveyed heartfelt emotion and the background ambience was full of atmosphere. A lot of these new songs are just in that limbo for me of being half good and half bad, and without an identity. I wish it went in more of a Behind the Throne, Flight without Feathers, Unbeliever, and Cracks in the Earth way. I would've loved that, but because it's just half eh and half ok I can't really get into it. I understand what they are TRYING to do with this album, but some of the songs just aren't hitting for me like intended, and that's the problem. I still love the guys regardless, but I feel there was so much potential wasted.

And ending on Meteor, which is like a "good vibe" song and transitioning to this was just pure ear porn. Im happy with this song. Cried over it a bit, ngl.
