VH is my all-time fave. I came on board with Fair Warning in 1981, but I did hear of VH. I went "backward" to 3,2,and 1. Nothing can touch VH. Nothing.

Disclaimer: I would choose Dave over Sam every single time. However... 5150 is my #1 VH album. That said, I don't think any of the other Sam VH album stand up to any Dave album.

I will commit sacrilege and say that VH II, Diver Down, Women and Children First were all rather forgettable. Fair Warning and 1984 were half classics, half fillers. Even the first album was by no means completely full of brilliance. 5150, OU812 and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge are filled with memorable tunes. III is of course abominable (although not even as bad as Tokyo Dome Live in Concert) and A Different Kind of Truth is not exactly that memorable. So finding 6 that fully satisfy is nigh on impossible. They should have issued Live without a Net as a live album too as that sizzled like no other.
