Because the gameplay, mechanics and sprites of most Metal Slug games are what makes them so magic and memorable, but this game in particular just lacks all the personality and aesthetic of Metal Slug, mostly due the limitations but yeah, it was some sort of experimental project

Although I have to say, the color swap that turn them into a KOF characters: Marco > Kyo, Tarma > K', Eri > Terry, Fio > Leona is a nice little touch. The character design is a hit/miss, I wouldn't deny that. But at least they tried to stay faithful despite the limitation of it in PS2.

The Heavy Machine Gun is MP5 is off yeah because it's a machine pistol/SMG. But are you gonna question that in a game like this now? I know you probably nitpick. In 2D Metal Slug games, the females use an MP5 model for Heavy Machine Gun. Meanwhile, the males model of Heavy Machine Gun in 2D is being put as Shotgun in Metal Slug 3D.

I've played the game like few months ago... Still remember that robot spider is really a chore/pain in the ... More than anything in the game, alongside that big moving castle boss. Because not only have to figure the way to defeat them... I have to work the control around too. I only have keyboard, but after many trials, errors, deaths, and all that... I've managed and dished them out. "Psst... As long as you save your Laser gun and Super grenade for the true final boss, you can take that thing down in short time." The game is good fun, i have to say for myself even though it's... Rough in controls and somewhat mediocre.

I remember this game as a good game. I played it many times when I was a kid (like 10 years ago)... the only thing that I disliked is a part in the mission whit zombies because I think that is an unbalanced zone (there is some "totems"? with many life in a stretch hallway and some zombies). The rest of the game is fine, it's a good game. When I discovered that is a hated game I was surprised too... So, yes, play it! Sorry for my english.

@@facundolopez2787 For the zombies, it's best to use Flamethrower/Flame shot on them or Shotgun. And for the big totems... Just straight up close and personal using Shotgun and they go down pretty easily. Make sure you keep moving/stays mobile too.
