fortnitekid2010 No, metal slug has its own style of gameplay compared to other run and guns games like contra or megaman. The only similarity it has to other run and gun games is the ability to choose from multiple weapons. So in the end it is not copying any other games. Fortnite on the the other hand steals a lot from other games of the same genre, so please do your research and get your facts straight.

Sad that the Ptolemaic army only had 1 game to show its potential, and I always thought that metal slug 5 was more advanced in terms of more enemy types and physics but I wish Ptolemaic army had more show ;n; There music is epic as well ;D

In case some people are wondering why the opening soldiers in the first stage have grey handkerchiefs, it’s because it borrows the graphics used for the censored blood. So if you were playing the game uncensored, it’d have the soldiers with red handkerchiefs.

3:03 I always thought that the part above the ruins was originally a second path. Especially with how the stones are arranged in a stair like pattern, with the natives walking on it. Considering 5 was rushed, it could kinda be understandable if it was cut. At least Metal Slug 5: Elite made it possible.

Morden's army is the rebel stereotype of Metal Slug. The fact that SNK had finally came up with a new and actually terroristic rebel army for MS 5 was a good move indeed. But the whole idea of the Ptolemaic army was never fully put into effect because this Metal Slug game's development was rushed.

+Itsme90 Probably didn't make any adjustments in the dipswitch settings. I believe this one, like some other Neo games, could have it adjusted. Stuff like some of the earlier SNK games, like KoF 94, a code had to be inputted to enable blood.
